Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!

Hadley House was a wonderful experience. The owner greeted us warmly and showed us around, explained some of the history of the home. It has gorgeous woodwork, antique furniture, and the king suite is spacious and comfortable. Every need was met and breakfast was delicious. The extra large cast iron enamel tub was divine. Highly recommended.

Paul and his staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful! Lovely old stately home converted to BnB, with delightful breakfast next day. The suites are large and very comfortable and just dripping with classic furnishings appropriate to a late 19th century stately home.

Our host Paul is an exceptional host: welcoming, interesting and generous. Breakfasts were delicious and superb: many choices and prepared individually. Our guest room was spacious and very comfortable. The bed linens were luxurious. The hotel is an elegant Victorian house with gorgeous original fireplaces and staircases. It and the grounds are in the process of being restored. But while the exterior is not pristine this does not detract from the overall ambiance or experience. Wonderful stay and highly recommend.

The Haslett Hpuse is an absolute gem. This historic house is so steeped in history. Staff is amazing and does everything to make you feel at home, if not part of the family. Breakfast was great and totally made to our order and preferences. The town has a lot of history as well. Any of the few shops and businesses are within easy walking distance. My wife and I stayed here before our visit to Cooperstown. If we are ever in this region of NY again, we will surely stay at Haslett House!

The Haslett House is a beautiful historical property! We very much enjoyed our stay here. The corner bedroom was quite spacious and the bed very comfortable. The owner is a super nice guy and his breakfast is second to none. Overall this is the best B & B that we have ever stayed in.

Incedible Experience

This is an incredible property in a very quaint, historical town and area. The host of the property was wonderful!!! All modern conveniences in a Victorian atmosphere. A wonderful breakfast and very relaxing time! I can hardly wait to revisit!

We joyed our stay at the Haslett Inn! Paul was great host! It was very nice, clean, and quite. Very beautiful house. We had a wonderful breakfast made by Paul. We hope to come back again some day! If you have never stayed here before you should! Thanks Paul forever thing!

My stay at the Haslett House was a total delight. Paul, who runs this bed and breakfast, is a gracious and generous host. I was fascinated by his stories about how he bought the house and about his work to create a beautiful period setting from the late 1800's when the house was built. He pours love into the property and it shows. He is still in process with the exterior as he brings it up to his very high standards. The interior is well-appointed with countless treasures I only stayed one night but would have been happy for more. I slept well, enjoyed the delicious breakfast made to order and loved seeing an Amish horse and buggy drive by in the morning when I looked out the bedroom window. I am spreading the word about this hidden gem. It is only 20 minutes from Cooperstown and numerous other fun tourist attractions in the area.

This bed and breakfast excelled beyond all expectations! The property is exceptionally beautiful with many historic features scarcely seen except in museums of great old houses. Our host couldn't have been more wonderful and he helped us out after a long ride on the Erie Canal Trail. The amenities were excellent. I would go to Fort Plain just to stay there again. Thank you!

Paul is a very kind and accommodating host. I would recommend having any visitor ask Paul to join them for breakfast. He is a wealth of knowledge about the history of the house and the area.

A historic home with a fabulous collection of collections in the parlor, dining room and living room. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated and have period furnishings and comfortable bed and sitting area. The stained glass and woodwork in the home is wonderful. We especially loved the seating nook with circular moulding around it- gorgeous. A menu is provided for breakfast ahead of time so guests can choose their options. The gracious host serves breakfast. The exterior of the home is getting a completely new paint job - can’t wait to see the new colors! This is a place to stay for a memorable and comfortable visit with a nod to the 1880’s. Fort Plain has a setting of the early days of Upstate New York and there are several good eateries within walking distance We would definitely revisit this Bed and Breakfast
