Man war genug freundlich. Das Zimmer war renovierungsbedürftig, Lampen ohne Glühbirnen, Mischbatterie im Bad defekt, keine Haken oder ausgebrochen. Das Bad war sehr klein. Im Gang Stufen rauf und runter. Die Rezeption selten besetzt. Check-out um 10Uhr (wurde mir auf Nachfrage aber verlängert) und die minikleinen Teller beim Frühstück wirken unfreundlich. Auf jeden Fall nicht das, was man von einem 4Stern-Hotel erwarten würde - Einstufung rätselhaft.

Das Personal ist überaus freundlich. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber, die Matratzen sind ein Traum. Leider war die Aussicht nicht besonders (nur Hausdächer).

Durchzogene Bilanz

Die Zimmer sind in gutem Zustand. Das Hotel liegt zwar an einer rege benutzten Strasse, deren Lärm aber nicht sehr stört. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig und gut. Was uns gestört hat, war der Empfang. Kaum hatten wir das Hotel betreten, mussten wir die Kreditkarte zücken und den ganzen Betrag für den Aufenthalt im Voraus begleichen. Das Hotel hat noch nicht die kleinste Leistung erbracht, aber schon Inkasso gemacht. Ebenso konnten wir das Nacht essen am ersten Abend nicht aufs Zimmer buchen lassen. Wir mussten es sofort begleichen. Befremdlich! Am Schluss des Aufenthalts: Schlüssel abgeben, niemand ausser einer Küchenangestellten war dort, sonst hätten wir unsere Kritik persönlich vorgebracht. Kein Dank, kein auf Wiedersehen. Schluss! Ende! Die Gastfreundlichkeit lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig!

Good and quite hotel in the city of Freistadt.

2 rooms booked upfront. No issues. Hotel includes also a restaurant with Austrian and seasonable food. Breakfast included. Small Parking area in front of the hotel. More parking space on the backside of the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
