"Need a new"

"This place is so charming. Feels like you are in old New Orleans. So much better than staying in chain hotels that all look the same. We loved our balcony, the atrium, the bar and restaurant, and the coffee and ice cream shop. The bar can get pretty fun, by the way. Staying at the St. Marie gives you the French Quarter experience. It’s just one block or two from Bourbon Street. While it’s a fun and energetic place to be, the noise becomes a nuisance when you are trying to sleep. You might want to get a room on the other side of the hotel that overlooks the atrium if you’re a light sleeper."

"On the positive side I have stayed here before three years ago and had a lovely room and the staff were wonderful. On the negative side this trip, again booked with Expedia.com, resulted in a poor room, on the top floor, at the very end of the corridor. The room was very dark and had a sloping roof. The window was sealed shut and the louvre blinds kept falling closed so the lights were on most of the time. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work and there was no provision of a USB port to recharge a phone or iPad. Coffee is provided in the lobby f.o.c. early morning but is luke warm by mid morning and not replenished. On the good side this trip, having said that they didn’t have any, the front desk did eventually find me an adapter for the plug socket to USB and also the pool was again good. The staff again friendly and polite. Remember that local taxes will be added to your stay."

"First time here and it won’t be my last. I specifically chose this hotel for my birthday trip bc I wanted to be in the middle of the action. And it did not disappoint. Check in was quick, all staff polite and helpful. Special acknowledgment to the door man Caleb (who doubled as bell hop on our last day) and to the pool bartender Jaime, who makes a mean French 75! These gentlemen helped make our trip extra special."

"Great property in the perfect location. Unfortunately we had issues during check in that were a bit disappointing. Clerk checked us in to the wrong room, which involved hauling our luggage across the street and up 2 flights of stairs, then back down to relocate to correct room. No apologies offered, so that’s sort of ruined our first night. Other than that great property!"

"The $15 daily restaurant credit wasn’t very useful, although the staff was extremely friendly. The balcony was lovely, and the mineral‑water dispenser with flavored options was a nice touch. The snack selection was fair, though it only included chocolate candy and no other varieties. Overall, the space was very clean, private, and well‑suited for both families and couples."
