Our stay was good for the location, the staff, access to the jazz club and restaurants all within the hotel. We did have some hiccups, but overall it was a good 5 day vacation the week AFTER Mardi Gra.
To consider:
Bourbon street balcony is loud outside. There is a sweet spot from around 4am to 7am where there is quiet time, other than that expect the clubs and people to be active all night and the street cleaning in the morning. But I guess if you’re getting a balcony you should expect it, but in case you didn’t, be advised.
During our stay another guess walked pass our room, looked inside while we were in in, and proceeded to part the curtains and step inside. We yelled for him to not enter, his reaction to comply was slow, after repeatedly saying stop he backed out and went away. This was alarming. We did not know if the person had ill intent, was drunk, or what. We told the front desk just in case. So be aware, people do have access to your room if your door is open and you just happen to be in your bed relaxing.
The shower was hard to turn on. We called the front desk and a man came in a turned on on like we just made it up. Maybe we needed to pull harder, although any harder felt like it would break.
Other than those weird and minor things everything else was fantastic. I would book this place again. Especially since I know what to expect now.
