"This is one of my worst experiences ever with a hotel. The space is basically a scam, with most things under construction, unsanitary conditions, no drapes (with sunrise here at like 4:00am). I felt that if I slept in one of the super dirty spaces, I would have catched an eye infection. No staff to help, but only a chat on WhatsApp that never replied. No Wifi. "Absolutely loved my stay. I was unlucky to end up in Ljubjlana during a heatwave which means the hotel came to my rescue a number of times because it was simply unbearable outside. The air conditioning was a game changer. The room was really spacious, very comfortable, giant bed, and the staff was extremely helpful at all times. The location is great as well, within walking distance from the main square and from the bus stop and train station. (Unrelated to the hotel but there were lots of works on the train station so plan accordingly). I loved this place and will definitely stay again. The only thing if I had to point anything, there’s not really a common area with a tv other than the bar which closes at 11pm and during the world cup it would have been nice to watch the games with more people which I wasn’t able to do"

"Quick easy check in. We had booked a budget room and on arrival to the 2nd floor saw signs saying they were under construction. Everything seamed ok until we realised the toilet was flooding then wouldn’t flush. The lovely lady on reception came with me to check, when she realised it was a broken toilet she upgraded us to another room leaving us with key cards to both rooms overnight as she didn’t want us to feel rushed packing up and moving rooms. No problems with breakfast at all. It’s complementary and plenty of seating inside and out. Downside was no access to tea or coffee outside of breakfast time. This was made even more tricky as we discovered when we arrived on the Friday afternoon that most of the local coffee shops close on Friday around 3pm and don’t open again until Monday morning, if you like us and need a coffee in the morning don’t go over the weekend."

"Perfect location for exploring Ljubljana. Dozens of restaurants are within a few blocks, and it’s only a short walk to the scenic riverfront lined with beautiful historic buildings. Everything is just steps from the front door. This is a quaint hotel with plenty of charm and a few quirks. As long as you don’t expect or require a typical American hotel room, you’ll likely enjoy your stay. We stayed on the very top floor, which meant lots of stairs—and I stress, lots of narrow, winding stairs! It was difficult for my mother, but that was my fault for not reading the description more carefully. The staff helped us with our luggage, which we really appreciated. Our attic room had two double beds tucked beneath the slanted roofline, along with two small rooms, each with a twin bed. The double beds under the eaves required ducking to get into. While they technically sleep two, I wouldn’t recommend it since each bed can only be accessed from one side. The shower was tiny and outdated, but it was clean, and the rooms were clean as well. The hotel’s character, the friendliness of the staff, and the outstanding location made it an endearing place to stay. It felt like we were guests in a historic, timeworn, and well-loved home of a benevolent relative. If you’re open-minded and can embrace a few idiosyncrasies and lots of stairs as part of your adventure, you’ll enjoy the attic room. You’ll most certainly enjoy the location and staff."

"The staff is super friendly, the location is excellent, but most of all, the interior is magical - the original building is a few hundred years old - the rooms are renovated with modern fixtures etc but the ceilings are super high, the corridors are winding and mysterious, and there are huge old wooden doors to the outside. This place is perfect for a visit to Ljubljana"
