Top Galveston Hotel Reviews

Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa and Convention Center
8/10 Good
"Food was PHENOMENAL.
Would like better valet, and concierge service… that was minimal."

The Mariner
10/10 Excellent
"Exactly what I wanted - simple and clean plus ocean front. Its no frills, but the ocean view and price (plus very clean) more than makes up for that. On site parking was easy."

Gaido's Seaside Inn
8/10 Good
"All the staff was pleasant and helpful. The kitchen ladies were there to help get you on your way. I still love the location on Seawall, and I think the age of the hotel is quaint. The room was comfortable and clean. I love their pool and hot tub... however, we brought someone else's hair back with us to the room, yuck. Our stay was late April 2026.
It would be great if there were more places to hang wet garments inside the room. I would think that tile flooring would also be a future update, carpet is not great so near the beach.
This was our 2nd stay at Gaido's, and we will most likely return. We enjoy the small hotel over the huge highrise. "

Galveston Beach Hotel
4/10 Poor
"So where do I start. The rooms online does not match seeing it in person. The first room on the second floor was a mess. The smell of the second floor was really bad. Mold smelling. Get in the room floor very slippery and the smell omg. So they moved us to another room. It was a little better. No smell and clean I guess the way they think it should be cleaned. But it will do. Towels needed but had to wait until the morning for clean towels. Ok whatever but the staff didn’t really understood what I was saying so I just direct all questions to the front staff. I will not be staying here again. Great location but it’s not for me. To many issues. Patio door didn’t open, microwave in the room was very nasty. If they do done renovation to this place. It really would be a great hotel to stay at."

Holiday Inn Club Vacations Galveston Seaside Resort by IHG
8/10 Good
"Their maintenance/managers needs to do walkthroughs of the rooms once housekeeping has reported the room has been clean. There was a closet that had a handle that needed repairs. The master bedroom ceiling fan remote was missing and we had to locate the breaker to turn the lights back on for the bathroom. "

Clarion Pointe Galveston - Beachfront
4/10 Poor
"I don’t even know where to begin with this place… it was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, it was clear the property is completely unkept and nothing like the pictures online (which feel very misleading at this point).
The room was dirty—like, visibly dirty. Surfaces hadn’t been wiped down, and the whole space just felt neglected. The bathroom was especially bad. The tub wouldn’t drain, so you’re basically standing in a pool of water while showering. On top of that, all the metal fixtures were rusted, which made everything feel even more unsanitary.
For the price and what was advertised, this was a huge disappointment. Definitely would not stay here again and would not recommend to anyone."

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Galveston North at I-45
8/10 Good
"Polite staff, clean rooms, parking was abundant and easily accessed."

Holiday Inn Resort: Galveston-On The Beach by IHG
8/10 Good
"perfect! (except for the price) (meaning you pay the peak season sunny beach price when it's chilly and raining 3" in a day)"

Baymont by Wyndham Galveston
6/10 Okay
"The breakfast menu had powdered eggs, bread, cereal, waffles, and yogurt. It was ok in quality. After breakfast times the areas were cleaned and tables put up, so no area to just sit. Towels were clean and the rooms were ok. Unfortunately, I started getting spam calls after I booked my room here. "
