"I saw many negative reviews on google but I was worried for no reason. The washroom and the bed was clean and that’s the most important part in my opinion. Carpets did look like they need a wash but I used slippers to walk at all times. Property is old so don’t expect anything fancy but location was great. Make sure you bring earplugs because it does get a bit noisy at night. Overall very happy, probably we will book it again if we visit Vancouver."
"My stay at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel was Wonderful. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and the property is very well maintained. The location is fantastic and within walking distance of some of the best attractions in Vancouver. Restaurants, cafés, pharmacies, food courts, and shopping options are all nearby.
The rooms are cleaned daily, and each room features a modern toilet with electronic bidet functions for added comfort. If possible, request rooms ending in 14 or 15, as they offer beautiful views of Coal Harbour. One thing to note is that the hotel does not provide complimentary bottled water during your stay.
Breakfast is not included, but the hotel restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet with fruits, juices, coffee, fresh pastries, deli items, cereals, and waffles ($30 per adult, $15 for kids). There is also an à la carte menu if you prefer something different. I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict (“Bennys”)—you can’t go wrong with them!
The hotel offers valet parking only ($ 45 per night), but the service is very convenient. Getting your car is quick and easy, and even if you simply need something from your vehicle, the hotel staff will gladly retrieve it for you.
The gym is nice and clean, and drinking water is available at all times, both in the gym and in the lobby. The outdoor pool area also includes a hot tub that works perfectly. This is the only part of the property that doesn’t quite match the rest of the hotel’s modern facilities."
"Professional and friendly staff.
Very helpful.
Washing machines for guests in apartment style residences could be replaced as they really smell of mold. Even after washing our clothes smelled.
But overall - excellent!"
"Sylvia Hotel is a marvelous location for exploring Stanley Park. The staff is friendly and professional and we totally enjoyed our stay. We look forward to returning!"
