"I loved the historical information about the hotel. It’s a beautiful hotel. Room clean. The only issue I had was the main bathroom on the main floor ( women’s) was never clean the whole time I was there. Which was 4 days."

"Charming old hotel that is well maintained. Perfectly located on the Arcata Square.The staff is helpful, and pleasent. The rooms, though old, were clean and had plenty of outlets. The clawfoot tub in our room was great and the water pressure in the shower is epic. I really enjoy old hotels and was hoping for a ghost, but not this trip. Parking is free with a pass provided by the hotel. They were kind enough to provide a second pass as we were meeting from two different states. Parking starts a half block away and the town is very safe for evening walks."

"This hotel is conveniently located to The Avenue of Giants scenic roadway. Our room was clean but needed bath soap and the light in the bathroom was not working. The staff did come and fix the light promptly. Breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, pancakes, and pastries etc."
