"I just wanted a simple hotel to come back to after driving all day. No remote for tv, forgot to ask in the morning before leaving for my day trip. Got in late, managed to get Tv on and on a channel, but next night there was a Samsung update message that required the remote. then went for a shower…nearly got severe burns from the tankless water heater as it doesn’t seem to work properly (hot is cold, and apparently cold is hot and extremely dangerously hot. "I can't say enough about the Sugar Boat....check in, personnel, food.. all incredible. The location is perfect..right in the middle of a pedestrian square. Every single interaction we had with the staff couldn't have been more positive. Wonderful experience!"

"Good base for our visit . Staff very helpful and cheery .Loved our lil record player such fun . Heating always on in bathroom . Very hot under foot . Breakfast was continental . Not the best . If we had stayed one more night I dont think we would have bothered"

"There was no restaurant as advertised on website and on hotel notice board. Room very tatty decor. Heater in bathroom and bedroom didn’t work. Window cracked and others filthy. There was also an 18 birthday party below our room with noisy music going on to 1.00am. No way is this a 4 star hotel. Also info given to us about nearby eating places was incorrect. We complained to managress who in fairness was very apologetic and refunded our stay."

"Hotel and grounds are rather run down but trying. Bathroom in particular had seen better days. Room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room name was Skye. The view was amazing and it was great watching Ferries come and go. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on food. Is a good 1/2 hour walk into town. However there is a bus stop almost opposite and a local taxi firm. One thing that really needs addressing is the Hotels front door. Our room was directly above it and it...
