Visit a beautiful Gothic church in Downtown Florida to enjoy live concerts and admire a building with remarkable architectural features.

The Cathedral Church of St. Luke is a Gothic-style building in Orlando, Central Florida. In this important city venue the community gathers to pray, hear musical concerts and participate in teaching programs. Discover a church with an elegant façade and a distinctive bell tower. Wander inside to see graceful chapels and ornaments.

In the early 1930s America’s Great Depression left the church with scarce funds to build the Spanish Gothic structure that was originally planned. Only the nave of the church was constructed, but with great attention to detail. Admire its Gothic-style entrance with arches, big stone portals, ornamental stonework and carvings.

Go inside the cathedral to see many interesting features, such as flying buttresses, arches and finials. The impressive stained-glass windows that you see in the narthex depict St. Luke and were made in honor of Francis Eppes, a contributor to the Episcopal Church. There is also a processional cross that was donated to the cathedral at the beginning of the 20th century. Admire the renovated sanctuary, the new bell tower, the large apse and the elegant nave. Visit the restored St. Mary’s Chapel and the Chapel of the Resurrection.

The organ of the Cathedral Church of St. Luke was the last instrument ever built by the renowned company Tellers Organ Co. It was installed in 1973 and later renovated. Notice its 88-rank pipe organ with a video monitor that allows the organist to easily see and hear all the musicians during performances. Attend one of the Sunday morning concerts, which are free, although donations are welcome.

Find the Cathedral Church of St. Luke in Downtown Orlando. Use the parking lots that offer free Sunday parking. You’ll need to get a parking voucher from the church’s ushers when Mass finishes. You can also park on the street, where meters are also free on Sundays.
