"Short 1 night stay to break up journey across Europe. Sadly breakfast not available, but plenty of places available a short walk from the premises. Check in and getting room key was straightforward with plenty of information prior to arrival. Room was very spacious, modern and well equipped. Everything was in good order and clean. Would recommend and will hopefully be staying again on my return journey/"

"Breakfast was fine. The location was excellent. The staff were very helpful and happy to share their local knowledge. There were some quirky things about the lights in the room such as the foyer light being on a sensor that seemed to be activated when approached from a distance. It took a long time to go out! Room was ok."

"We arrived rather late (after 9.00pm), was a bit tricky to find in the dark, but we managed it! Greeted by Hilde - lovely lady. Took us to our rooms, which were lovely & comfortable & clean. Allowed full use of the lounge & kitchen. There were 3 of us (adults). Very spacious. Shower lovely. Breakfast choice amazing. We stayed here having visited Bruges. Would definitely return & recommend. "

"Talbot house was a rest home for allied military members in WW 1. History lives here. Extensive walled gardens with large trees, flower beds & walkways. Small museum on site. Mix of volunteers and paid staff look after you. Close to Menin Gate & Canada's Brooding Soldier. Very cool spot to have stayed at and Poperinge is a lovely town. "
