"This place was so cute. My husband and I stayed here for just one night but we enjoyed the convenience to Sequoia National Park. It was literally minutes to the park entrance! There was a little convenience store with a deli in it next door that we walked to for takeout dinner. That food was delicious. This place is an adorable little gem. "

"We stayed 1 night but found the hotel clean and comfortable. The room had a large fridge and coffee maker. We didn’t have time to use the pool but it was clean and a nice space to relax. Quite a large area for breakfast and there was a variety of hot/ cold items on offer but the area was busy. Some restaurants and a grocery store (expensive) within walking distance - we had takeout pizza which was very good. "

"The Gateway is one of our new favorite spots to stay! The hotel is a well-maintained but older. All the amenities are great and well-maintained as well. Our room was super comfy, and a nice bed. The restaurant was fantastic, amazing food that was well worth the price. Amazing view at night, with great ambiance. The staff was super friendly, and did a great job!"

"The location is worth the high price. The room is very clean and cozy. The lobby area is nice and the front desk staff was very friendly and informative. The bed is a bit too soft, might be good for side sleepers. There is a small market at the entrance of the lodge area. (Beverages and dry goods)"

"Excellent caretakers, spacious, neat, and clean. Family-friendly guests and staff. The kitchen is well provided with utensils, dishes, cups, etc. The owners let us use their fire pit, which was an incredible experience, gazing at the stars while staying warm right next to the Kern River. "

"This property is absolutely beautiful. The river runs just below the area and the sound of the water is so nice and calming. They have coffee for the mornings which i truly appreciated! 2 seperate buildings for bathrooms and a separate space with showers (partially outside, rock floors and open roof! Also access to the river with steps made of large rocks. Everyone was helpful and friendly. "
