"The hotel was nice and clean. It's not in a great area, but there is a lot of construction and seems like the area is getting a facelift. Real convenient off the 880 freeway. Lots of food options within 10 miles. But breakfast at the hotel was a great start to the day."

"If you like the price then don’t complain about the condition of the property, the dogs barking in other rooms or people talking outside your door late into the night. Other wise, it’s a clean simple room with run down built ins, and a clean bathroom. Ask for second floor water front for a more quiet stay. "Loved my stay! Beautiful historic building, clean and comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. The boutique atmosphere made it feel much more special than a typical hotel. Once you step inside, it feels like you're somewhere on vacation in Europe. No elevator, but actually the staircase was beautiful (and manageable). Courtyard was charming too. They keep the building secured by giving you an access code. Good restaurants nearby. Excellent value. Would definitely stay again."

We gebruikten het hotel als uitvalsbasis om San Francisco te bezoeken, overigens is Oakland zelf ook je bezoek meer dan waard. De suite beschikt over een zeer ruime slaapkamer, een goede badkamer, een keukentje, een eethoek en een zitgedeelte. Het is er trouwens muisstil. De locatie van het hotel is op zich prima. "The good: Great welcome by front desk. Good food available. Nicely decorated property. Not so good: Long queue and wait for valet parking. Hair found on makeup face towels (gross), and room not very clean. Limited options for in room coffee (not enough for two people)."

"The staff was very impolite and unprofessional. During my three-day stay, no cleaning service was provided at all. There were no amenities, and guests are basically left on their own at this motel. I would not recommend staying here."
