"Our family of 4 really enjoyed staying here. It really does have a whimsical feel to it, and we were instantly happy and excited with what we saw when driving onto the property. The cottage was cute, cozy, and clean. Once you drive through twisting, tree lined roads and forest, you arrive at an open area among the hills that is in a very quiet spot in the mountains. "Fantastic overnight stay. Room was clean and fresh. Early evening (SAT NIGHT) a little loud music from the restaurant/pub across street but that ended early. I love the porch rocking chairs and view of mountain! I might suggest to owners that they don’t allow guests to smoke directly outside of their room, but perhaps a designated area down at far end. Often when I opened my door to the porch, I could smell cigarette smoke. Otherwise, a great place to stay! "

"This was our first trip to 1927 Lake Lure Hotel but not the last I hope. Staff was excellent and so helpful. The room was very clean. The whole property is so pretty and the antiques are a very nice touch in the lobby as well as on every landing. The only thing I would add is to have restaurant open we would have rather to have eaten there. Hope to come back with my best friends for a girl trip soon. "

"Very spacious. It was great luxury to have 2 bedrooms, a living room and even a loft sitting room. The kitchen is well stocked. You don't have to worry about getting dishwasher detergent or coffee filters. My children enjoyed using the spa bath. Great screened porch that we didn't use because of the temperature. The downsides to this stay are poor wifi and channels are not extensive. A lot of backroads to get there meant quite a travel time to Asheville."
