1. Hotel La Grisa

Bale

"Lovely small hotel in the small walled city of Bale. Very good breakfast buffet & excellent attached 5 star restaurant. Excellent service. For North American travellers, there is no elevator so you may want to transfer your travel items into a smaller carry-on. For the hotel, please add an in room kettle. As a traveller, sometimes you need to make yourself an herbal tea or an early morning coffee. Also, please have 100% overhead coverage of the areas connecting the buildings. It rained during...

"Such a lovely little hotel on the outskirts of Rovinj in a quiet residential area. We loved that the beaches were just a 5 minute walk away through pine forest. Hotel immaculately clean, amazing breakfasts and afternoon cakes .. help yourself to hot teas all day. Lovely pool area which was always quiet. Town was half an hour walk away but we didn’t mind the walk each evening and got a taxi back (around 12 euros) Staff all lovely. We took the hotel bikes one cloudy day and cycled along the...

12. Eden Hotel by Maistra Collection

Rovinj

"The room was clean and towels were refreshed daily. Buffet breakfast and dinner in the hotel were good. The Oleander restaurant was also good but in the trees so bug spray is needed. The water in the main pool was colder than the sea, and the spa pool was cool despite, supposedly, being heated. The staff were great and many made a fuss of our 4 year old. There is no local bus or hotel shuttle to the Old Town. This is only a short walk for adults but several times we returned to the hotel by...

16. The Melegran

Kota Tua Rovinj

"First, the positives. The breakfast which is 50 yards away down the street was just fantastic, they couldn’t do enough for us and the choice was phenomenal. The bed was very comfy, very clean, no issues. The receptionist was friendly and we did get help with the luggage up the narrow steep stairs. However …… The overall impression of our Room 6 in this small hotel in the lovely narrow alleys of Rovinj is one of being designed by a fashion house rather than people who understand the needs of...
