"We really enjoyed our seven night stay at the Berkeley Hotel from the moment we arrived. On arrival we were greeted by Elma who booked us in and gave us a warm welcome before recommending somewhere to eat nearby as we had arrived quite late. "I loved the front patio area complete with garden and an olive tree. Wished that I had more free time to sit out there with a cup of coffee in the morning. Room was spacious and well equipped. The owner was very sweet and accommodating, although I initially had difficulty contacting her. That was due to problems with the Travelocity app, though, not her. "Excellent location right inside the old city. Easy walk to nearby attractions, restaurants, bars and more. Check-in happens at a coffee shop outside Ploce Gate, so be prepared to walk 8 mins to the hotel. Fairly easy walk, but cobbled streets. Inside, the property, rooms and decorations are immaculate and beautiful. No elevator, so a fair bit of stair climbing. Minor point: safe wasn't functioning in my room due to previous guests leaving it locked. Staff is very friendly and helpful. John...
