"The only thing we can complain about is that we couldn’t stay forever with Cathy! The place is much better than expected (really, much better). Super well equipped, comfortable, clean, and with marvelous decoration. The area where the house is located is absolutely stunning. "Lovely stay at lord Beganals. The property is fabulous tastefully decorated and beautiful fresh flowers in the lobby. Staff are very friendly special mention to Karen and Kay breakfast team !! "We stayed in the cabin in the back which was…. Absolutely adorable and as pictured. I would highly recommend to communicate with the host ahead of time, because while the contact phone number is listed at multiple points on the property, it can be difficult for a traveler without phone service. I was traveling from another country and had data only, I was fortunate to have a local person lend me their phone so I could check in that first evening. That is my only advice for anyone wanting to stay...

"The staff accommodated us with an early check-in follow our over night flight which was incredible. Only small issue we had was getting a room service sandwich one night. They could not toast the sandwich and were perturbed when we asked for it. Overall a great hotel with great staff and somewhere we will visit again. "

"Only negative was that there wasn't an elevator. Staff in the bar/restaurant were very friendly and provided great service. Reception staff helped with baggage due to some of us being a bit incapacitated."

"Not a terrible stay! The room was cleaned each day, however half of my stay, the cleanliness did not maintain consistent efforts. Staff were friendly, breakfast was ok. "

"Upon arrival, we were sent to a room without power and a leak in the bathroom. The stafd had shut off the power because of the leak so they knew about it but put us in the room anyways. When we were moved, they provided us with a free drink voucher which was nice but when we tried to use it to order a pint, they only brought us a half pint. When eating at their restaurant, their cesaer salad included carrots which I am allergic to. This was not listed under the allergens or in the menu...

"The room was lovely, and the staff were great. When we arrived, two beautiful dogs were waiting at the hotel door. It was therapeutic after a long day of travelling overseas. The hotel is beautiful, and I especially enjoyed having a drink or two at Tupper's Bar. Will be staying here again the next time I'm in Kilkenny."
