"The hotel seems to be under construction and not up to snuff. There were strange smells immediately in the lobby. The pool was out of order and this was a big disappointment. The sheets were wrinkled as if someone had just used them or they had sat in a wrinkled pile. There was a rip in the curtains. The bathtub drain did not close to seal the tub so I could not take a bath. It was dirty all around the drain. The shower head had pink gunk on it. The lock on the door was broken. After...

"Paul was a great host. Showed us around the property and our room. Was very polite and welcoming. This is a very quite place and perfect for a couples get away. We had the tower room which has a whirl pool at the top. Me and my wife loved this place. The property has a gazebo, fire place and a small pond with waterfall. Wry relaxing"

"Room had damage to walls, loose floor tiles in the bathroom, water damage on the ceiling in the bathroom, and the thermostat did not control the temperature. For 250 a night I would expect the rooms to be taken care of."

"This is a really great hotel if you want to explore Galena and its surroundings a bit. We absolutely loved the pool and hot tub and the staff was super nice and super helpful. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the AC was quite loud, but this seems to be fairly standard in this area (I had this at other hotels too) so I shut it off in the middle of the night and opened the window."

"Booked this last minute on our way to a cross country baseball tournament and were pleasantly suprised!! The property was uniquely decorated, clean, quaint and charming. Very unique and we loved it! The staff was very friendly, breakfast was what you’d expect from a hotel breakfast, great coffee- overall we loved it and would recommend and stay again!! We usually stay at Mariott or similar- so this was so different for us!! Small family feel- so neat!"

"The building needs extensive maintenance. The room smelled foul. There was dust and grime even on the cord of the blow dryer. If it was $45 a night place I'd be more understanding. The window screen had a massive hole. The HVAC was unclean, but it kept us cool. I did appreciate the microwave and that there were many USB charging options. It seems that the property owner is probably doing the best they can with limited funds, it may be a good idea to consider whether this property is candidate...
