"Loved this place, a little out of Cartmel but liked that, pleasant evening stroll into town, great view across the racecourse, well looked after hotel, plenty of parking
Points to improve could do with some car chargers but thats a minor point, will be back"

"Beautiful old property but unfortunately hasn’t been maintained. Very tired. Rooms had visible damp, peeling walls, broken glass in windows and flaking window frames. Bathrooms weren’t very clean, mouldy edges and rusting showers. Breakfast didn’t have items on menu. Manager eventually moved us to a better room but outside in the corridor were buckets catching the rain. Unfortunately unable to receive any refund for our first nights stay. "Beautiful building and grounds with stunning views.
Bedrooms and bathrooms very tired and dated. Broken bathroom floor tiles needs addressing urgently.
Staff were amazing. All really helpful and friendly."
