Loved this hotel , right by rail station which was important for us, lovely relaxing hotel with lovely views over Morecambe bay, with friendly staff

The property has real presence and looks stunning. Its decor is in keeping with the property and looks a bit worn but makes it feel loved. Breakfast was good but we had to wait both days for the food to be topped up as there’s only one waiter trying to do everything. The room was large and bed was comfy. The bathroom was not good no water pressure so water came out very slowly and not very hot. Shower unit was very noisy and no heating for such a big bathroom apart from a towel rail so it was cold in the room. Overall it was a nice stay but not quite up to the standard advertised. I have been told they are updating the bathrooms so hopefully if we ever returned things would be improved.

Characterful hotel, great ambiance. Car parking adequate even with 2 weddings on. Outlook was tremendous especially in the good weather. Service was pleasant and efficient. Overall a great break.

Beautiful building and grounds with stunning views. Bedrooms and bathrooms very tired and dated. Broken bathroom floor tiles needs addressing urgently. Staff were amazing. All really helpful and friendly.

The views, hotel is set on the cliff looking over the bay. Hotel was really very old and unique. Staff were very nice and helpful. We stayed in an annex a short winding path through the lovely gardens We had breakfast everyday and dinner twice in the hotel all lovely would recommend eating in.

Nice stay, room was only cleaned once not sure why. Nice and clean staff friendly and helpful nice food in restaurant, internet is hit and miss in bedrooms but not too bad in the lounge

It’s very friendly stuff and clean and I notice is quite dark and it’s looks like Xmas lights around and very cosy but I notice used the spa is extra cost I thought included the room and breakfast too, and I stayed for one night is quite expensive

The place was clean and the staff were friendly, the meals we had were good the breakfast buffet was standard with a lack of bacon on our last day. Parking was adequate. I cut my leg on bed as the screws were sharp however when told reception the maintenance man sorted it out.

A beautiful old property with stunning grounds and views, friendly, helpful staff, and an old fashioned wood panelled interior. The public areas and dining area are lovely. I had a single room with comfy bed, plenty of tea/coffee & storage. England suite was well equipped. l was a little surprised at the marks on the paintwork around the bed for such a high quality hotel, but this didn't affect my stay

This was our fifth stay at the Netherwood, having first discovered it in 2022. We have stayed in different (sea view) rooms each time and none has disappointed. The hotel has a lovely country house feel, having originally being a Bolton businessman's country residence, with lots of original features (wood panelling, grand fireplaces, stained glass windows, etc). They had no availability when we tried to book last October, so we had to stay in another hotel close by, which frankly paled in comparison. This time, it was good to get back to our usual warm welcome from the friendly staff, and the delicious food (both at breakfast and dinner). Highly recommended if you like a hotel with character.

The room we booked had it's own kitchen. It was something like a one bedroom flat/house and a hot tub. Best thing we ever booked. We had so much fun. The food we had in the restaurant was absolutely amazing. We didn't try the breakfast tho. But everything was absolutely gorgeous. Definitely will book again.

The room was very clean. Fittings were to a good standard. Staff polite and helpful, both on Reception desk and in the dining room. Buffet breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold food. Plenty of parking spaces.

The service, accommodation was exceptional. The hotel was relaxed and totally customer focused. The staff are attentive and accommodating, knowledgeable about the area. All the staff presented themselves as professional but friendly always smiling and open to conversations and commentary. The spa is fantastic, relaxing and rejuvenating. I’d go back anytime and will recommend the hotel to my friends
