"I booked this very quickly by just searching Google for "Lake District hotels" one evening and I was very pleased. It is expensive, but it is a 4* hotel, so you would expect to pay a higher price than others. We found the staff brilliant and the room fantastic, although we did get a free upgrade on arrival which was nice, so I can't comment on the room we actually booked! The location is perfect, lovely views and really convienient for the Lake Cruises next door. We did not use the Spa, but...
