"Elsa's is a wonderful place to stay if you are traveling to Prospect Harbor. It is a quaint building with beautiful rooms. But what made our stay spectacular was Gail. She is absolutely amazing. She gave us lots of great ideas about sites to see during our visit. She makes delicious breakfasts. And she's just so much fun to talk to. We wanted to bring her home with us! We will definitely come back for another stay as soon as possible."

"The hotel is located right in Bar Harbor, just a very short walk to the town center. Since most hotels in Maine tend to be quite old, this property was a wonderful surprise—it’s relatively new, and the rooms are both spacious and clean. They also provide complimentary breakfast, which was actually quite good. Highly recommended!"

"The motel is old and not very well kept up. Rooms are small have not seen updates since the 60’s. The carpet smells and there is no insulation so it’s either very cold or hot. It is not close to town at all but there is a shuttle across the street that runs into town. However, the staff is so UNHELPFUL that had I not already known about the shuttle, they would not have offered any information. I paid for my room in advance but when I checked in, she handed me a paper that said I still owed....

"This is the best Best Western we've stayed in. We had the family suite and it was spacious. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. By far, the most impressive feature of this hotel are the staff. Due to my mistake, we had to transfer to another room for one night. The staff were so helpful in getting us into the room quickly. "The bathroom was very dirty when arriving. The facet was broken. The sink was plugged. The breakfast was very limited. Little to no protein other than hard boiled eggs and small yogurts. They had butter and cream cheese out but no bagels or bread to put it on both mornings we were there. For the price we paid this property was a huge disappointment."

"A best place for my budget, and I stayed one night, and the location is perfect. the hotels inner city are so expensive in the season, and this place was best for me and my dog. The staff are the best and so kind. I had an issue of reserving a room which I reseved a non-pet room by accident, but the staff simply helped me to allow my dog to stay. LOVE~"
