"the only plus for this hotel was the location next to the beach. Breakfast was a crap shoot never in the 4 morning we stayed there was the breakfast completely ready at 6 am. the path to the beach was life threatening to say the least going down to the beach the steps just stop with no railing to hold to and no one gave us any warning of this hazzard. "Cool historic place but for the price would’ve rather just visited. Super small rooms, one bar with five seats, no real on site dining for dinner, and man they better fix that water pressure as you’ll get more wet sweating than standing under that. Prob my last time visiting but cool place"

"Great location. ECHO food was very good. Staff courteous. Cleanliness was excellent. We were in the historic building and the room was very small. The issue we had was the room location inches from the side entrance stairwell. This made it very noisy often at night."

"The Kress was an amazing surprise for my wife and I during a quick overnighter to meet up with some old childhood friends. I grew up in this area and the downtown district had been forgotten. It was great to see this place back to life. The Kress has done an excellent job restoring this old department store. The rooms are incredible with large common space and bedrooms. I wished we had booked an extra night. "

"Room was clean. Definitely older property. Pets allowed which was great! My door however did not have any interior installation so it was not as secure as I would like and allowed noise and sunlight through it. In room fridge definitely needed to be cleaned better. "
