Sheraton Fallsview Hotel

"Loved the location and the views of the American falls were phenomenal. Check in was easy and the check in agent was very helpful. The hotel could do better with general cleanliness. Hallways were littered. We found a bunch of long hair in the toilet when we first entered the room after check in (not a great look when you're just checking into your room for the first time). Some finishes need updated. Also, the air conditioniner was so loud it disrupted our sleep each time it went on automatically."

"Our stay at the Holiday Inn Downtown Toronto was okay overall, but unfortunately it didn’t meet our expectations. The room felt quite small, dated, and basic. The biggest issue for us was the bed comfort—the mattress was much softer than we prefer, and my husband, children and I all were unable to sleep due to extreme discomfort from sore backs/hips. For that reason alone, I would personally choose to stay elsewhere next time. Cleanliness was acceptable overall, though there were a few areas that could have felt better maintained. Personally, I wasn’t comfortable having my children sit or lie directly on the room floor, or leave items on the floor, as it didn’t feel as clean as I would have liked. The pool deck also often seemed untidy during our stay with construction workers walking in their boots on the deck. Pool temperature was good, though guests should note there is no hot tub. The hotel restaurant/bar had limited drink options when we visited, which was a bit disappointing. The location is convenient if you want to be right downtown and within walking distance of many attractions. It was easy to get around on foot, although it was quite noisy, which is something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper. The staff we interacted with were friendly and pleasant throughout our stay. Overall, while the location was convenient, the room comfort and our overall experience mean we personally wouldn’t choose to stay here again."

"We really enjoyed our stay here and were pleasantly surprised to find a kitchenette in our room. The mini refrigerator was useful in keeping our leftovers and a few other items, but the best was having a microwave. The staff checking in was super helpful and very accommodating. We also discovered that the hotel has direct access to The Path, which was so great since one of the days was non-stop rain. And I'd highly recommend dinner at Joey Kings across the street if you stay here. The food was incredible and the ambiance was just as impressive. We would definitely stay here again."
