"​I had a wonderful solo getaway at Sands on Golden Lake. The ground floor room opened directly onto the beach, making launching my paddleboard super convenient. Rooms include a mini fridge and a self-serve complimentary breakfast (fresh eggs to cook, toast, and local Madawaska coffee). ​The resort has a cozy, rustic lodge with a fireplace. On-site dining is great—the fish and chips were delicious, and the dining room has lake views. Safe, welcoming, and scenic. Highly recommended!"
