Having stayed at this hotel in 2016 we were keen to return. Unfortunately overall it was a disappointment. We had already been in Amorgos for a few days and although we did not expect the room to be ready when we turned up at 11.30, it was not a very welcoming experience and we were told to return a little later. We left our luggage and went for lunch. The check-in procedure was rather slow despite doing all the paperwork online beforehand. The room was at the very back. It was obvious that the room had not been renovated in a long time and felt dated albeit clean. The balcony was indeed overlooking the sea but there was no sun nor would you be able to see the sunset from the balcony. During the night we were awoken multiple times by the air-conditioning unit making a loud noise. We tried to play around with the settings, but invariably after half an hour or so the sound would return. We informed the reception staff in the morning and went to have breakfast. Luckily the room was changed for one at the front with an excellent view and good water pressure. This made all the difference for the rest of our holiday. The breakfast did not change throughout our stay but was basic of reasonable quality. The staff were friendly and the pool area well maintained. Overall it was a mediocre stay in what could be a high-end boutique hotel.

Bravo à la petite equipe de femmes érythréennes
L’équipe des dames qui s’occupe du petit déjeuner et du ménage est fantastique . Elles sont très efficaces et souriantes. Au contraire du gérant qui ne tient pas compte des remarques faites . Chaise cassée sur la terrasse non remplacée en 3 jours malgré une remarque le premier jour.

Voyage en famille (2 adultes et 2 enfants âgés de 14 et 11 ans). Séjour début août 2022 Hôtel familial situé à 2 pas du port tout en étant au calme – Nous avions la vue mais pas le bruit !! Chambre simple et propre – Il serait agréable que le mobilier de la terrasse soit remplacé et ajusté au nombre de clients dans la chambre (nous étions 4 et avions 3 sièges sur le balcon…) Chambre familiale équipée d’une cuisine avec un grand réfrigérateur et suffisamment de vaisselles permettant de déjeuner ou dîner sur la terrasse Le buffet du petit déjeuner est constamment garni Wifi parfait

Lovely family-friendly hotel
Fabulously welcoming and accommodating team, friendly without being at all overbearing. We had a great room with a balcony overlooking the sea - lots of space, super-clean. The whole hotel has a great ‘feel’: lovely round the pool (with pool towels provided!), spaces outside and between the rooms, everyone was smiling (guests and staff). Very good location, a few steps from loads of good restaurants. The 3* for eco-friendliness is because we’re not sure what to compare Yperia with: nothing worse that what other hotels do; nothing obviously eco-friendly.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Yperia and it turned out a perfect choice for our 8 nights (!) stay in Amorgos. The hotel has enough to offer with spacious rooms, balconies with views, great swimming pool deep enough to jump (a must for me) and lovely smelling pines next to it. The breakfast buffet was each day a great start of the day with enough to choose from the menu and offering local dishes/products. The vibe was great, the owner is always there and making you feel very welcome, it also felt very relatable & friendly in between other guests (young couples, backpackers etc.). Price/quality ratio was great.

A perfect home away from home! Staff is excellent, rooms spacious, comfortable bed, good bathroom fantastic view from balcony! Breakfast is really good, has all you need for a good start of the day. Location is perfect, near the centre but not near enough to get distured! ! All you hear are the waves from the sea! If we return to Amorgos, this is no doubt the hotel we will stay at! Simply perfect!
