We had a great stay at the Pettigru Place B&B. Our host and the staff were lovely and made us feel right at home. The grounds around the property and lush and inviting, with so many spots to sit and enjoy the gardens. The B&B is a beautiful, quaint home with vintage charm inside. The breakfast was delicious, just the home cooked meal we needed after a busy day in downtown Greenville!

Stunning, unique, historical home that felt like I was staying in a fairytale book. I dined like a Queen every morning, and made friends chatting in the dining room. This is the kind of experience that people should be having when they travel. The place where it feels like home away from home. I hope to be back again soon. They strive to have the best breakfast, the food was outstanding. Greeting by the owner, shown the property and the amenity's. The only complaint I had was that it was very bright when trying to sleep. The blind was broken and hard to get completely closed, which allowed light in glass door and the outside lights in the front of the house stayed on which allowed light through that window. I am a light sleeper and I like a dark room. However, I would go without sleep just to get the breakfast, hospitality and other comforts of the room.

We stayed there for a birthday getaway. Property is conveniently located a short walk from downtown. Rooms are clean with updated bathrooms, many with private terraces. Morning breakfasts are truly gourmet and delicious. The B&B is very well maintained and the owner takes pride in this historic home. Very enjoyable stay.

Super quaint B and B and very well located for Arena events (1 block away). Self check in option was super easy and the Swan Gate room charming. Late night complimentary water and hot coco (shared Keurig) was a perk. Breakfast was great: full pot of coffee, beautiful laminated fresh fruit, juice, pancakes, apples and a dollop of pumpkin ice cream! Any day that starts with ice cream stays in your memory!! Clean and quiet. Fresh roses was a nice touch and super easy parking. Only suggestion: better quality toilet paper! Oh boy… for the excellence of the stay the T paper was so terrible- thin and rough. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Exceptional place to stay
We have stayed here before. This place is beautiful inside and out. The rooms are extremely nice and the mattresses are better than my own. The staff is beyond nice and helpful. Don't hesitate to stay here. You will not regret it. The breakfast was awesome as well.

Always excellent!!! This was our third stay at Pettigru Place, and as always it was wonderful. The rooms are clean, restful, and beautifully decorated. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is so amazing!

There's No Place Like Pettigru Place.
The stay at the Pettigru Place Bed & Breakfast was a once in a lifetime experience. I had never stayed at such a welcoming and comforting place before. My Highest Praise, Which is Well Earned
From arrival to departure, Pettigru Place was the perfect, personable place for my much needed long weekend. The B&B is super clean, well-maintained, and has so much character. Lori is the perfect host, and the team that is undoubtedly supporting her there is fabulous, as they cared for the house and its guests. Each morning's breakfast was outstanding. Flavorful and creative. I'm not a foodie, but I know what I like and what's good and the breakfast couldn't have been better. Walking distance to so many things in downtown and the Zoo and great Swamp Rabbit trail system. I could stay anywhere in Greenville, but I'd stay at the Pettigru again in a heartbeat.

Lovely!
This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at Pettigru Place B&B. The house is lovely, the staff is welcoming, friendly and very accommodating. The breakfasts are delicious! They provide beverages 24 hours a day and even serve complimentary cheese and wine each evening. Our only complaint was the second of our 2 night stay our room was too warm. Both my husband and I had trouble sleeping it was so warm despite the ceiling fan. I suppose being in a house, all the rooms run on same thermostat so there was no way we could adjust the temp in our room. Our first night was comfortable. Not sure why second night was so much warmer. However, would definitely recommend staying here and we would come again. Thanks for your hospitality!

This bed and breakfast was AMAZING!! Room was very pretty. Breakfast was Wonderful! Maybe one of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. Wish we could have stayed longer. The gardens were so well kept and so beautiful to look at. I felt so peaceful being there.

The place was very enjoyable, the staff were there to meet your needs, the breakfast was delightful. The location was ideal for us, we walked just about everywhere there is parking. The only thing that was in need is a good mattress in the room we stayed, my husband and i needed woke with lower back pain, 1 night tolerable but 2 nights not as much. But all and all a great place to stay. Hope to visit Greenville again and stay there again. Thankyou all for a great time

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know that you enjoyed your trip to Greenville! It is a great town for walking, isn't it? We were so sorry to hear that you woke with pain! That doesn't help with a trip home, I'm sure! All of our mattresses are still relatively new, and we choose mattresses that are "medium", middle of the road, between firm and soft, in order to accommodate the most people. Mattresses are such a personal preference, it's hard to find one that can please everyone. I'm so sorry that you were one of those not pleased, but would love to see you again next time you are in Greenville

Solo Female Traveler- 5 Stars
Truly a lovely stay! The owner was so sweet and accommodating. She stayed late for me so I could enjoy my wine/cheese later on, and packed me a lovely to-go breakfast when I told her I would have to leave super early the next day. I’m very sad I missed the gourmet breakfast, but she packed me many goodies that made up for it (including a breakfast cheesecake). So I still felt I got my money’s worth, for sure!!! I booked myself the Swans Gate room so I could enjoy a warm bath in the jacuzzi tub, which was super relaxing!!! I enjoyed my stay there alone. I felt very safe and comfortable, as a solo female traveler. So many beautiful unique touches to the place, including a stocked fridge and homemade cookies. Thank you so much! Ps- I enjoyed how walkable the area was... even at night! I was able to walk to a restaurant for takeout and get some things from the CVS.

The property was centrally located and in a lovely neighborhood.The house itself was extremely warm and welcoming. One could spend days there trying to take in everything that has been collected. Much thought and love has gone into making this house a home. Lori and staff outdid themselves. The gourmet breakfasts were over the top. Couldn't have had a better experience

I think you are saying it wasn't clean, I will be sure we go give it a good scrubbing. The crepe myrtles are beautiful until they drop their flowers all over the place! First time visit to a Bed and Breakfast
My wife and I came to Greenville SC for the New Kids On The Block concert. This was our first experience in a bed and breakfast. It was a wonderful experience and while our stay was very short , we had a sick Cat at home and had to leave very early missing the breakfast, it was still wonderful. This place is beautiful, each room has its own private bathroom. There is complementary soads in a fridge in the hallway as well has cookies. Again we had to cut our visit short missing the breakfast, but after the very nice lady was aware of that she offers to fix us up a bag of goodies and leave them in the fridge for ourearly departure and she delivered.....THANK YOU for that. And Thank you for helping us with our parking situation (you know what I mean) It was truly amazing how out of the way you went to help us in every way possible. We will be back sooner than later to visit the Zoo and some other places and this time we will not miss the breakfast.

Beautiful B&B with antiques that were thoughtfully picked to suit the room. The staff were warm and welcoming. The food was fabulous and there was lots of it! There were cold drinks available in the fridge upstairs and cookies for when we got in late and needed a snack. Great experience!

Lori the Inn Keeper has a wonderful personality and is extremely knowledgeable about everything in Greenville. Her gardens are beautiful as well as the Inn. All the rooms are very well appointed and her staff is exceptional. Don't miss breakfast it's fabulous. The wine and cheese at cocktail hour is a very nice plus. We will return.

Great location - historic, beautiful, delicious
This was our splurge during a 2-week trip and we think we chose well. Historic, stylish, comfortable, beautiful indoors & out, friendly, welcoming, delicious! We biked the Swamp Rabbit Trail from here, & downtown is just a few blocks from Pettigru Place. We followed our hostess's reco for dinner & loved it, & her 3-course breakfast the next morning was classy, creative, & filling. We enjoyed talking with her in the garden that evening, welcoming us with wine, cheese & fruit, & sharing some history of her home & Greenville. The small team delivered an excellent experience for us, including fresh cookies, coffee & soft drinks stocked just steps from each room.

Pettigru Place is an excellent property. It is very warm and inviting and everything you need is provided. The rooms are small but beautiful and the decor is perfect for the venue. Susie was a wonderful hostess and made sure our every need was met.
