"Truly a very special place! My husband and I stayed 3 nights as part of a motorcycle trip to the north island and area. The hotel is very motorcycle (of all kinds) friendly. The location of this hotel being right on the water is abseloutely incredible. Amazing view of the harbour and marina, even the sea plane terminal. All rooms are ocean facing. Upper floors are serviced by an elevator. Lots of parking. The housekeeping staff were very attentive. They replenished towels daily, made our bed and tidied up carefully for us. Huge shout out to the front desk staff for being so very kind and accommodating! Our room's fridge didn't have a freezer compartment and Leah went above and beyond to work with the owner to have our fridge switched out while we were out on a day trip! 5 star service all around. The forest directly across the street homes many, many bald eagles and falcons(?)... maybe hawks... that are very active at different times of the day. We were fortunate to have the lowest tides of the year during our stay and saw the birds of prey in multitude circling and catching food on the receeded tideline. We highly recommend staying here and will be returning!"
