The Property was nice. BUT we couldn't get any hot water! The sink faucet would not turn on.

I liked that the hotel is walking distance to other restaurants. The parking was nearby too. The front desk staff was friendly and provided verbal instructions. The corners of the bed frame were exposed and I banged my leg. The room was small and did not have a lot of walking space. The hotel set the thermostat for the rooms and I woke up in the middle of the night to close the vents that were located in the ceiling.

It’s worth the savings to stay here. It’s 100 years old but it didn't feel that old. You can hear everything but it was never a problem for us. I was skeptical at first but after 2 nights we both decided we would stay again.

A disappointment was that that restaurant and bar were not open because it wasn’t the weekend. Also ask for a room that is facing hwy 120, it gets loud early in in the morning. Otherwise the bath and bed were fine.

Take your chances!
They don’t tell you that at the end of September so much shuts down…the restaurant, plus you have to make your own bed and put out your own trash and go to the desk if you need clean towels. They say that someone is at the desk from 8 to 8, but that wasn’t true either. I went to check out at 10 am and no one was around to be seen. Disappointed for what we paid for this place!

The air conditioning and the coffee maker didn’t work in the room. The shower water was so hot I almost scorched myself. The sink was next to the bed outside the bathroom. I stayed 3 days and no one cleaned my room. When I checked out, I was told to just leave the keys. Never asked about my stay. I would not recommend this hotel. The people in Groveland were sincerely nice and helpful. It is a nice community.

I enjoyed the fact it was a historical residence. We accepted a 3 night stay but when we showed up we had to move ourselves after 2 nights to another room. Totally unacceptable and ridiculous. We took another room. This should have been already discussed. Our room was a little too small. Remove the unneeded chair.

Super cool looking hotel. However, couldn’t use the AC and my room was 80 degrees till after 11pm. Also, went to take a shower the next morning and the knob to turn the water for the shower on, just spun and never engaged the water flow. So ended up taking a sink shower in stead.

Adequate room for an adequate price
The hotel was affordable and 30 min from the Yosemite gate and 60 min from the valley floor. It was Thanksgiving and the hotel was understaffed. Thanksgiving dinner was in the bar and they ran out of food and it came out cold. The TV was set on a cartoon movie for the child of a woman who worked there. Normally a bar would have football on esp for Thanksgiving. It was unbearable. The TV in our room didn’t get football either. It was difficult to set up onto our Xfinity account. The staff was really nice. The bartender (man) gave us a lot of info on what was closed and he saved us a lot of time. The women that worked there gave decent restaurant recommendations. Our room was really small and with the king size bed there was very little room to walk around. The bed was on top of a wooden box and we banged our legs pretty badly because the room was too small to walk around. Parking was free and wifi was free.

Very nice!
This is a very nice hotel to stay over night on the way to Mammoth. Very clean and suite room with engaging details. The only issue is that, since this is a very old building, you hear all the noises from upstairs.

This hotel is 108 years old and very well taken care of. The pizza factory was delicious and walkable. We enjoyed our stay in Groveland. My son is going n a wheelchair. Everyone was helpful and we had front row parking. My sons wheelchair is 23 for inches wide. We fit in all the doorways.

Historical experience
Our stay was ok - the experience was unique which is what one has to expect staying in a historical hotel. No one at the desk except between the hours of 4-8pm. Of course, no elevator! Room on second floor - Our water was dirty/rusty for a few minutes - they did provide 2 bottles of drinking water. Central air - so no controls in the rooms. They did turn the temp down and provided me with a room fan that allowed me to be able to sleep. The pillows were big and firm-fluffy and not comfortable to me - glad I had my own.

Thank you for staying with us. Our front desk is actually open from 8 am - 9 pm. The hotel was built in 1849, so there was no elevator installed. Also dude to the age of the building it does have a few quirts which we're constantly working on. Hope the rest of your trip was lovely!

The property did not leave up to the price we paid for. Amenities provided were disappointing.. No Microwave or TV and room was very small. The coffee maker did not work on day two. No room service or support system at all. However, shops were close by and had other areas for breakfast and dinner and that helped. Its a over rated property with minimum facility.

Hello Malay, we tried to reach you a few times by phone but were unable to connect. We're very sorry to hear you found your stay so disappointed it merited that rating. We had to return the TV to the vendor as it wasn't working property and are still waiting on replacement. We also were not told you had an issue with the coffeemaker until checkout. Its been replaced with a new one. We also set our rates based on seasonality, availability and comparables in the area. Our amenities are clearly stated on our partner sites like Expedia and on our website. There are very few hotels in the area that offer room service. Sorry that was not clear when you made your reservation. Hope the rest of your travels were great. Thank you again for the feedback.

2 nuits proche d'une des entrées du parc Yosemite, dans le village de montagne de Groveland, et un hôtel historique. Ambiance sympathique dans ce décor agreable. Chambre de style avec un lit très confortable. La proximité du parc est un plus.

A unique historic hotel in a very quaint town, conveniently located withing a short drive to the Yosemite National Park. The bathtub in the room we stayed in probably needs to be refinished or replaced, and the A/C in our room was not keeping the room cool at night (hence the fan that was in there when we checked in?)

Alles sauber, super Bett. Lage zum Yosemite super. Tolles restauriertes Hotel aus dem 19.Jhd. voller Geschichte. - Wir hatten keinen TV auf dem Zimmer, weil diese wohl gerade nach und nach getauscht werden. Er hat mir auch nicht gefehlt, aber er war andererseits mit im Zimmerangebot/-preis enthalten. Insofern hätte das Hotel hier von sich aus einen kleinen Nachlass anbieten sollen. Die Klimaanlage wird zentral von der Rezeption geregelt und war mir zum Schlafen zu kalt, da ich direkt unter der Klimaanlage mein Bett hatte.

We loved our stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful.The historical hotel is charming.Food was really good! This was our favorite stay on a 2 week trip from Wisconsin.We would stay again and again!
