"Beautiful room with tall ceilings and comfortable bed. The hotel is nice and right next to the church. It was very cold and they don't have heat in the summer so Maria at the front desk let me borrow her personal space heater to help me. She was amazing! Great restaurant as well."
"Amazing hotel set in beautiful location. Convenient to Cangas de Onis and the Picos de Europa National Park. Delicious breakfast, comfortable room and pleasing decor. Highly recommend!"
"Walls are thin and transmit every sound. On the first floor there was noise from the restaurant all night long. No coffee maker or water in the room. If you enter from the parking lot on arrival you will need to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. It is located close to most places in town with short distance walks. "
"The front desk staff was absolutely wonderful and treated my dog like royalty. I brought him as a pet because he is my wife’s registered service dog, yet he has never been treated that well!
I reserved the economy room, which was just fine for one night. The only issue I encountered was the steam heater in the bathroom was on when I checked in and it took it a very long time to cool down. Luckily, there was a fan in the room, and with the window open it was fine. If you like your room, cool and you sleep, I suggest making sure the heaters are off when you occupy the room. Otherwise a great stay at a great location, with a wonderful staff."
"I genuinely don’t know where to begin.
We arrived at the hotel we had specifically booked — chosen for its location and suitability for travelling with dogs — only to be told on arrival that it was closed. Not cancelled in advance. Not communicated beforehand. Just closed. We were then redirected to a completely different hotel 15 minutes away by car.
The alternative property was in an entirely different area — busy street, heavy pedestrian traffic, children everywhere — and absolutely not appropriate for dogs. We had booked carefully. That care was made irrelevant.
To add to this, the pet fee at the new hotel was double what we had agreed to at the original property. We paid it because we had no real option at that point, but it felt unfair given the relocation was not our choice.
The room itself was visually very nice. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
The hotel was advertised as having air conditioning, but the system had a minimum setting of 24.9°C. That isn’t cooling — that’s ambient summer air. The room was stifling. We were moved three separate times before finally being given a room with a window we could open just to make it breathable.
Then the internet didn’t work.
What should have been a straightforward stay became an exhausting sequence of problems: wrong hotel, wrong location, higher fees, unusable air conditioning, non-functioning WiFi, multiple room changes.
A pretty room cannot compensate for a complete breakdown in communication. "
