Fabulous hotel and the staff was wonderful!! Clean, updated and the roof top has great views. I forgot something at the hotel and they called me immediately advising they found it. Highly recommend this hotel and staff.

This is a brand new hotel on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I stayed here for work and it was excellent. The free cocktail or coffee token was also a nice touch. The rooms and amenities were ample. Walking distance to almost everything in downtown Gulfport and the beach.

There are not enough drawers in the room. We had to unplug the refrigerator at night due to the noise it made. At checkout, there was no staff available to assist with the luggage. Room size is great. View from the room was great. Staff knowledgeanle and friendly.

Property is for upper class, I booked through Expedia, good rate, for 1 night, Hotel clerk refused to give me receipt at checkout, also I booked pay direct to hotel, clerk argued about giving me receipt, said Expedia would have to send me receipt, I checked out on 5/22/2026, Today 2/23/2026 my Master card was charged Twice by Hotel. Called Mastercard company, they also agreed my card had been charged twice So people be aware, don’t leave Markham Hotel without receipt. New Hotel, Beautiful, but it’s Not for middle class people. I will never stay there again.

The property was absolutely beautiful. Rooms were stunning staff amazing. Just a few things could have been better. Water pressure in the shower of room 410 was almost nonexistent. No convent bathroom for pool uses. Other that that highly recommended.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Stay! Absolutely stunning hotel with so much character and charm! Established in 1926 and beautifully remodeled, this property blends historic elegance with modern sophistication. From the moment you walk in, you’re met with a warm reception, inviting atmosphere, and exceptional hospitality. The hotel is incredibly aesthetically pleasing. Posh, stylish, and full of tasteful details throughout. The coffee shop is truly one of a kind and adds to the overall unique experience. The rooms….ooh my….Modern, classy, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with impeccable taste. Beautifully appointed throughout. The beds could have been a bit softer, but that’s simply my personal preference. The rooftop bar was awesome. Great ambiance and beautiful views! The location is another major plus. Conveniently situated near the aquarium, marina, and beach, with easy access across the bridge, making it an ideal spot for exploring the area. Overall, an amazing experience. Beautiful property, wonderful ambiance, excellent location, and definitely a place I would return to!

The hotel is beautiful and very welcoming. The staff were all great and worked diligently to ensure we were taken care of from check in to check out. We both agreed the bar seems a bit understaffed and it took a while to get served, but it wasn't because the bartender was slow or ill equipped for the task, it was that she was covering the bar, the restaurant and the guest sitting in the bar area. The restaurant wait staff and hostess were very friendly and work hard to accommodate us even though the food was less than desirable. My wife got a chicken dish that was so salty she couldn't eat it. She loves salt on her food, but this was not eatable. I had the shrimp and grits. It tasted okay but came with 4 small shrimp. Unacceptable for what I am used to from a good restaurant. I'm from the area and know what is acceptable for the price paid for this popular dish. The waiter adjusted the bill and removed my wife's dish, but the chef said mine was as is...M&Ms in my room later has to suffice for the evening meal. Overall we understand the hotel was newly opened and was a very comfortable place to stay. I'm looking forward to going back but will probably skip the restaurant for a local choice that I can trust for a delicious meal at a reasonable price. In closing the coffee shop the next day was amazing primarily due to the amazing lady that greeted me with a warm smile and a cheerful good morning. Hoping you the best as you fine tune this amazing hotel. Kitchen first please

The feel of a high class hotel at a moderate price. The way staff greeted us to the service at the rooftop bar was superb! The room was super clean, spacious and comfortable. This property is the perfect combination of southern elegance and modern charm. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and well appointed, Each staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and professional.
