"We had an enjoyable stay at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Salem VA. Easy on and off I-81. Easy unloading vehicle through slider because we were on the first floor. Friendly and helpful staff. Pet stay free! Plenty of grassy areas to walk your dog. We saw a deer in the evening grazing in the field across from the front entrance. Breakfast was sufficient with delicious make your own waffles, various cereals, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, various pastries and coffee and teas. Room was clean, towels were very fluffy and absorbent. Facilities are being updated. Lobby was welcoming and had coffee after breakfast. For a great meal go to Hanging Rock Tavern. It is 0.6 mile from the inn. It has great food and craft beers, beer garden(pet friendly and live entertainment, check their website for dates and bands."
