"Our stay at Derwent House was exceptional. It was a lovely facility, clean, beautifully decorated with African art. The breakfasts were fabulous--many choices hot and cold, tasty and filling. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. The location is close to dining on Kloof Street and reasonably priced Uber rides get you to all the sights in the city. We could see Table Mountain from our room. I can't say enough good about this establishment and will recommend it to anyone traveling to Cape...

"We stayed here from March 14 th to March 22. We booked 2 rooms and the stay was awesome. It was right at the city center. The staff was so attentive and very courteous and friendly. The rooms were spacious, neat and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was awesome. "

The best thing about it were the people who looked after me and were beyond helpful before I arrived arranging my airport pick up, waiting for me when my baggage got lost and taking me back to the airport to collect it. "Life truly is better at the Marly! What an amazing introduction to Cape Town! The staff members and Charisma were immediately helpful from the first second I walked in the door. The sea facing room was spacious and had a gorgeous view of the ocean. Also the aromatherapy was such a great relief to the senses. I enjoyed every minute of my 3 night stay and can’t wait to return on future visits to the area!"

"Good for a quick stay not for a true vacation. This place needs to updated and sprayed for ants. They also should consider hiring a person to help with bags upon arrival the hill ruins it. It’s cozy but it’s a shared house with the hosts. Good location"
