This stay was extremely disappointing and nowhere near the standard of a five-star property — it was closer to a one-star experience at best.
From the outset, the accommodation issues were unacceptable. The shower plumbing failed, flooding the bathroom and suite. As a result, we were moved to another suite, which was in an appalling condition. The toilet was blocked, emitting a strong stench, with faeces visible in the bowl. We were left without a usable toilet for approximately six hours. When maintenance finally attended, the contents of the toilet spilled onto the bathroom floor and were wiped up with towels. Despite requesting proper disinfection and sanitation, this was not handled appropriately.
Cleanliness was also a serious concern. The quilt cover on the bed had large amounts of hair stuck to the Velcro closures, which is utterly unacceptable and completely unhygienic for any accommodation, let alone one claiming to be five-star.
Noise was another major issue. There was continuous noise from functions below, clearly demonstrating that the rooms are not soundproof. In addition, there was incessant banging from events next door, along with ongoing construction works at the neighbouring building, making it almost impossible to sleep. This level of noise is completely unacceptable for accommodation that claims to be luxury.
The restaurant food was well below average, tasteless and extremely disappointing. Staff service throughout the property was slow and unfriendly,
