Very pleasant over night stop

Comfortable family room. We were disappointed we thought we were in the tree house, but the kids ended up quite happy in the loft. Lovely quiet location with a beautiful garden. The staff were friendly and helpful

They make you feel at home

We stayed at Bryan’s 2 nights. The location is very strategic to visit Sigiriya, Dambulla, Polonaruwa and do a safari. We stayed in the tree house and we really liked it. Since the region is very windy, even without AC was good. The room was very clean. Bryan was the best host. Not only he helped us to organise everything, but we also had great chats with him. Food is great. We had breakfasts and dinners and we really enjoyed them. Bryan&team made us feel at home. We will definetly come back!!!

Tree house exeprience with great home cooked food

Condition of room wasn’t what we expected. If you are looking a rustic treehouse experience, this is recommended. Hot water wasn’t available when we were there however the dinners were awesome. Host Brion Young was an awesome inn keeper and provided the best of dinners for the 3 nights we were there. (Dinners there are a must try. Better than any local food we had in Sri Lanka.) Great experience overall. Thanks Brion!

Best hosts in Sri Lanka

Staying here was the best decision we made in Sri Lanka. Every meal was fresh from the garden and Brian arranged all of our travel with trustworthy drivers and guides. The cabin was comfortable and Sasha the dog kept the monkeys away. The hosts even called ahead to our next hotel to make sure we arrived safe.

Fairly basic accommodation but clean & comfortable

Eagles wings was an interesting place to stay. The tree house was nice and had a lovely view of the jungle from the balcony. Brian our host was friendly and made us very welcome. Bed was comfortable and everything clean. It is a fair way out of town so you can’t walk in, but very quiet.

Brilliant base for exploring cultural triangle

Bryan was an excellent and informative host, one of the most welcoming and helpful people I've encountered in all my travelling. He really looks after his guests, organises everything efficiently, sticks you personally on buses and makes sure you see everything you want to see. The food is great and is an excellent introduction to all things Sri Lankan. Bryan really puts his guests at ease and has perfected the personal touch, but also has a genuine desire to show off all that Sri Lanka has to offer. Eagle Wings is just outside the town of Habarana and was perfect for exploring the cultural triangle, with lots of transport links and buses that go right outside the entrance. We stayed in one of the treehouses, which were well built, rustic and provided a real outdoors experience. A great novelty and highly recommended experience. Stay in Eagle Wings...you won't regret it!

What an experience!

This place is just awesome. From the moment we arrived, Brian set about helping us however he could. The food was the best we had in Sri Lanka, and so well priced! We stayed in a tree house and just loved it - very rustic, but everything you need! Sasha the dog was wonderful to play with too. Brian arranged transport for us to Sigiriya, then a safari which was absolutely amazing! Take his advice on things to do and use the people he suggests as they know what they are doing! We wish we had stayed longer as this place is just magical. Thanks so much for having us Brian!

Best food on the whole trip

We only spent one night at Eagles Wings Guest House but wished we'd stayed longer. It is in a great location to explore all the sights of the cultural triangle. We were welcomed by Brian who went out of his way to settle us in. We switched our accommodation to the treehouse with a/c with no fuss at all. It's at the end of the garden so closest to the jungle which all added to the experience. Monkeys and birds a plenty and lots of noises in the night although no elephants!! The highlight was the food. Traditional Sri Lankan dishes cooked by a local lady with just the right amount of spice. Whether breakfast, lunch or dinner they were the best meals of the whole trip. Brian also arranged a massage for us both at the local Ayurvedic spa (half the price of some local hotels). He also arranged our transport for the next day. All in all a great homely place to stay close to the jungle. Don't expect luxury and a hot shower but don't let it put you off staying at this little gem in Habarana!

Lovely wood house

Everything was basic, but that's all I expected, except that it didn't have hot shower. But the owner was kind enough to let me use the hot shower in an empty room. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and I had great sleep hearing only the sound from the nature at night. The dinner made by the old ladies was super good, but the breakfast was a bit plain.

Très agréable à tout point de vue !

Accueil chaleureux du propriétaire, cadre idyllique au coeur de la jungle, immersion culinaire exceptionnelle et personnel très disponible. Super accompagnement et conseils autant pour les visites touristiques que pour les démarches pratiques. On recommande !!

1ère expérience pour nous dans des "Treehouse"... Cabane un peu sommaire, il faut être très proche de la nature pour y dormir sans crainte de la bébête ... Cependant la cabane est propre, et finalement une fois dans le lit sous la moustiquaire, tout va bien ...! Hôte merveilleux, qui se plie en. 4 pour assouvir vos désirs, tant au niveau des activités, qu'à son propre plaisir de vous faire découvrir la gastronomie sri lankaise ... Idéalement situé entre les sites du triangle culturel, nous y avons passé 2 jours très enrichissants .

Can't wait to return! Dream holiday for family!

Looking for a rustic stay close to nature? Look no further. The boys absolutely loved sleeping in a tree house! Made it their fortress including a 'no girls allowed' policy...but their sister had plenty to keep her occupied right in the midst of nature. Elephant safari, elephant rides, cultural heritage, all right there. Brian is an amazing host. Always contactable, ever helpful. Return is guaranteed!

とにかくMARIEが好き！お母さんのような優しさで迎えてくれるし、夕食にｽﾘﾗﾝｶの家庭的なｶﾚｰをお願いして付くってもらい、作ってるｷｯｷﾝの様子も写真にとらせてもらった。何をするにも優しく受け入れてくれた。またMARIEに会いに行きたい。朝は道路に象が歩いていて楽しい。

We stayed in a tree house so didn't expect the room to be perfectly clean as insects were easily attracted to get inside the room. There was no hot water in the bathroom. if you couldn't live with insects, please do not book this hotel. They staff there were very nice and friendly. Good hospitality.
