The location is stunning and very central for exploring the island. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. They have a great common area with an honesty bar that is well stocked. "We hardly had a wink of sleep in the tiny first floor room we were allocated at this pub (I hesitate to call it an hotel) because of the noise from the lively bar below. Even when the pub emptied some time after midnight the disturbance continued as staff quarters were situated directly above us and, once they left the bar, loudly creaking floorboards continued to keep us awake until much later. But when we went down for Sunday morning breakfast at 9.15 we were told it had finished at 9a.m....

"The property was clean and as expected for a 3 star. Unfortunately we could not communicate with the host the day before checkin and the day of checkin. We escalated the day before with Expedia because the phone numbers did not work. The cell provided on checkin instructions rung someone in UK, he had no clue what I was asking. The land line number never answered. We also sent an email morning of checkin to Sykes cottages, no response. I sent a message using the contact property feature...
