Great and charming boutique hotel.

A lovely boutique hotel in Halmstad. We were there to visit friends so just stayed one night. Checked in was easy and made me felt welcomed and very quick, staff were helpful and nice. Lovely and spacious room, really enjoyed our stay, wish more hotels are like this.

Elite Hotel Martenson is situated in old town Halmstad and walkable from the train station. The central location provides easy access to restaurants, parks, cultural events, public facilities and a short bicycle ride to a beautiful beach. The hotel itself was very quaint, well maintained and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The restaurants on site provided another excellent amenity. Although we did not get a chance to use the gym it was probably one of the best equipped we’ve seen

A really nice and hospitable hotel located in a nice walking district with access to restaurants and shops as well as the historic city gate. The on premises restaurant Franz Bistro and the Cafe were excellent! The bar was also very nice. All the staff were pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. My only suggestion is a note on booking sites and reservation email that the address of the hotel is not on a drivable street. GPS brings you to the rear of the hotel and it's not apparent where to go. I ended up calling to get instruction.

Check-in was friendly and smooth. The room was large enough and normally equipped. The mattress was unfortunately far too soft for my feeling. The walls were also very noisy, talks and music and television noises from neighboring rooms could be heard until late at night. The breakfast was very good with a large selection, even different types of bread were available.

Our group of 10 from the U.S all stayed there. We hosted a memorial luncheon for my sister with 40 guests attending. I had been arranging it for the last few months with various staff members via email from the the U.S. All were helpful, accommodating and prompt in replying to all questions and arrangements. The luncheon was beautifully arranged and the food was delicious. Definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for everything and everyone! Thank you for making this trip and event perfect. Eva Harvick

I loved how friendly the staff was. They all seem like family. Each and everyone! The Café is open all night and the restaurant has fantastic food and a damn good bar tender (normalhours). I couldn't get enough of the homemade lemonade. The breakfast is huge and really good. While being there I found out that it has a roof top bar and a SPA that one can rent exclusively for 250 kr per person. It's a central and incredibly beautiful hotel. One can hear through the door pretty well which is disturbing. The mattress is loud and squeaky. The bathroom impractical - water from the shower spreads all over the floor. But all in all it's a great hotel. We ended up spending most of our time there. The staff makes us wanna come back.

This property was located in a perfect place for anyone visiting Halmstead for the first time. Unfortunately, upon our check out the front desk gal was pretty rude. The beauty of the experience of this beautiful hotel was diminished by her attitude.

Upon arrival we were shown to a room through the kitchen with a view of a concrete wall. We complained and were told that they were fully booked. I finally spoke with a manager who miraculously found another room. This one in the first floor with a view of dumpsters with a homeless woman looking through three trash. Room was very hot with no ventilation. Worst room of our entire 5 week trip to Scandinavia.
