Convenient and good value with one strange policy.

Very convenient for U-bahn service into Hamburg city centre and attractions. Lidl supermarket just round the corner for food and drink supplies. Hotel is fine, good value for the price. Friendly andvhelpful staff. One strange thing is they provide a kettle in the room, but only provide coffee, tea and creamer for the first night. In every other hotel we have stayed in, the cleaning staff top up the supplies each day. Reception confirmed the policy for this hotel is first night only. Bizarre!

The best part of my stay was the friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself is older and very typical for a 3-star hotel. The bed was comfortable but it was not a true double bed. Rather, it was two twin beds pushed together. The pillows were quite flat. The shower had great water pressure but it was tiny. I’m not sure how a tall or large person could be comfortable here. It is close to the U2 line but not convenient for using public transport to or from the airport. The hotel restaurant is closed, but they have a limited but fresh breakfast buffet. There is one grocery store and a few restaurants nearby. There is no microwave or refrigerator, and no room safe. Be aware there is no air conditioning so I would not recommend it for warmer months. The radiator heat worked well.

We liked the cleanliness of the rooms and the very good breakfast. Reception and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the busy road. I assume there are more quiet rooms facing the parking area.

The location is convenient. The U lines ( Metro), and Supermarket ( Lydl) are just a few steps from the Hotel. There is a free outdoor parking lot for travellers with cars. The staff are nice and professional. Smiles are always on their faces. The beds are exactly 3 stars hotel, comfortable and clean. My complaint is only about the wifi internet, which is not stable and slow, other than that I am happy with the hotel.

Good location. U-Bahn is very close. Oped for myself advantages of municipal transport comparing to using a car. $00 meters away we found a small and nice restaurant of German kitchen. Disadvantage: no condition in the room. In extremely hot weather it is quite a problem.
