2/10 Terrible

"The whole property smells like wet sewer. No real lobby and seating for waiting customers. Would not recommend stay at your own risk. Sounds like a dog pound when you get on your floor."

"Super nice staff! They let my husband park his motorcycle onsite and gave us a 1st floor room since we had two dogs with us! We also got to check in and hour early! The hotel location is excellent. The beach is clean and right outside. Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance."

"Overall hotel was great. However, it was frustrating when it came to meals. I tried to go down and order to go but was told they were too busy, so there I was walking around at night on the street trying to get something to eat. Paid too much to stay at a hotel and can't get access to the food. Unacceptable"

"We have been visiting this resort for a while now. We enjoy the grounds and having full kitchen. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen are always clean. The few things that needs to be addressed are the very strong cleaning chemical scent in the rooms. The rooms usually need an hour with windows open and fans on full power to make the smell disappear. I am usually not sensitive to this but those who are needs to be aware of this. The coffee shop is open very inconsistently however the restaurant offers a variety of options. Our last visit the stove and microwave was broken but we only stayed a night we didn't mind. There is washer and dryer in the apartment if needed. They also supply detergents (dish and laundry). Overall, we love Powhatan resort."

Mia's Boutique Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"My daughter and I had a nice stay for two nights. Clean room, beds, and bathroom. The room included a microwave and mini fridge. The bathroom had a walk-in shower. The toilet was small and it was a little crammed in the bathroom, but we managed. This renovated motel is an unique find. It's two buildings; one directly on the beachfront and one just a walk to the beachfront. We stayed in the one from the beach. I highly recommend this motel for quick getaway to the beach."
