Our room was on the second floor and we had a very nice view of the ocean in the distance. The breakfast room was nice and spacious and there was a variety of food options. One important note: the management is not onsite but readily available through WhatsApp.

Out of town and on the side where nothing is. Water and electrics are turned off everyday between around 10am and 4pm (which is not the case for other hotels in the main area). We saw the cleaner do a room between guests...and could not clean anything since no water at all. Pretty ran down. The staff is wonderful however. So kind and helpful

Helpful owner who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. Very helpful considering hotel slightly out of town. Very easy to walk i to town. Lived our short break in Rapa Nui. Slightly pricey (understandable) and friendly guide and people. The Moai are very special and so variable in type and size. Off that warring tribes would work together in the Moai mines. And yet they would look at us today and think Trump couldn't have existed - just a myth. .

The staff at Hotel Teanehi was awesome. There was a little bit of a language barrier but we made it work out. I definitely got my steps in during the trip as the hotel is about 1.5km away from the city restaurants. Walking at night can be a tad concerning as there are a lot of wild dogs around which are usually friendly during the day. The hotel is pretty close to Tahai which has a gorgeous sunset. The pickup and dropoff from the airport was perfect and the staff fixed an issue with the AC right away. Breakfast every morning was a great start to the day. I would recommend this stay if you want to be on the outskirts of the town and enjoy your peace and quiet.

Our stay at Hotel Teanehi was excellent! The hotel pickup and drop off was great and the whole property was well taken care of. If you do not prefer to walk without sidewalks, prepare to take a ride into town, which is a slower process than a typical taxi elsewhere. We walked everywhere (20-30 minutes to swim or eat) and had no issues. We specifically chose this hotel for AC in the room, breakfast, and general comfort. All three of those were just as expected and we would definitely stay in the same location if we come back to the island.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Teanehi. Our room was spotless and spacious. Loved the balcony with view towards the ocean. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of options.

The room, the breakfast and the staff are great! However, the hotel is a bit out of the way. There's nothing around it, not even a convenience store. It took us about 25 minutes to walk to the nearest store.

Hotel simples com otimo atendimento

Horel simples, com otimo atendimento, localização razoavel pois fica uns 20 minutos a pe do centro da cidade. Alugamos um carro o que facilitou nosso transporte. Fizemos passeios por 2 dias com indicacoes da Odette. Transfer eficiente e com recepção calorosa a moda da cultura local. No geral atendeu as expectativas.

Nice stay enjoyed it a lot. About a 15 minute walk or so to restaurants and bars. It has a beautiful spacious patio with rooms exiting to the patio.

Aug 2025 Review (Please Read)

We stayed at Hotel Teanehi and wished we didn’t. We would definitely not stay again. For £184 for two nights, it was an absolute joke. Cons - The lady who runs the joint does not care about you in the slightest as a customer. She shows you to your room and then leaves the property. It’s an absolute joke. - Our room had damp and mound growing up the wall which made all our clothes stink and our lungs hurt. - There are mosquitos in the rooms and you’ll get bitten. As mentioned before, the lady is nowhere to be found so you can’t ask for bug spray. - They say they offer laundry facilities. They do not. - The towels are disgusting and stained and the bathroom so cold and damp that nothing dries. They do not bring new dry towels either. - The breakfast is super basic. - There is not a restaurant. - Overall it felt very grubby. Pros - The employees who clean and prepare breakfast (locals) are lovely! - Transfer to and from hotel (included).

A nice place, not typical of what I’ve stayed in before. As much a hotel as staying at a friend’s house. I walked to and from town daily, sometimes multiple times. Neat hotel, neat island, 5 days wasn’t long enough.

Overall excellent experience here. Nice homely lodge, within 15-20 mins walk to main area. Safe. The host Odette is so nice and friendly and really helpful! Helped organise absolutely everything, which is a huge help!
