I didn’t have a mountain view from my room but that would have made my stay even better. If you don’t want to carry bags upstairs request a ground floor room. This is a beautiful property and I would stay here again. There is parking on premises and couldn’t fault room facilities.

Whilst the rooms are well presented and clean, unfortunately our room was situated directly opposite a building site where we woke both mornings early due to the building work taking place, I would have appreciated if the hotel told us prior to our stay as we would have booked elsewhere.

We always enjoy our stay at St James. It is perfectly locted to shops and the pools. The rooms are comfortable, and equipped with all the necessaries. Good service with friendly staff. We have stayed at many places in Hanmer Springs and this is by far our favorite. Highly recommend.

Best ever motel

All brilliant, even supplied towels for the thermal springs in a carrier bag for. Would give it 6*. Best motel we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in loads.

The room was fine with a lovely mountain view from the patio. Unfortunately, we pretty much had to keep our drapes closed most of the time because there were people walking closely by. The kitchenette was very well equipped and that was nice. The bathroom was okay - lovely shower with nice water pressure, but the vanity was very small and what little counter area there was had the veneer lifting and bubbling, so it was hard to sit anything down. Overall, though, the staff were lovely and helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely lovely place to staying the hosts are the moat nices people. Room was gawjus, clean and tidy., i couldn't fault anything. We arrived late at night in the cold and when we got up to our room the heatpump was going and our room was warm and cozy. Id never stay anywhere apart from the St James in future. Highly recommend.

Sharon was very helpful suggesting local hikes and offers towels to take to the Hamner Spring pools. The room was clean and the kitchen was modern with a microwave and dishwasher. The town for being small had several good options to eat and of course the Sulphur pools were wonderful.
