This is a beautiful property, less than 10 minutes from the center of Kaikoura. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. The breakfast is amazing, with coffee, tea and snacks always available. The owners (Kevin and Ann) are gracious and very friendly. All in all, it's perfect!

This is an exceptional B and B. Amazing hosts, beautiful outlook of the sea and Kaikoura ranges, fabulous rooms and a breakfast that was beyond anything you can imagine. I loved the very well stoked tea and coffee station and the use of the fridge/freezer. It was hard to leave this amazing property along with all it's wonderful farmyard friends.

Beautiful surroundings, lovely clean rooms and dog friendly. The host family are very welcoming and accommodating, including the "host dogs"! The breakfast is first class, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thankyou :)

Appreciated the personal touches
Really lovely stay, appreciated that the owner personally took us round the farm, so my six month old son could meet the pigs, alpaca's, geese, cows and other livestock, had a lively puppy as well. Breakfast was terrific and the owner was always friendly and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone and we would stay there again.

Wonderful B&B
We had an excellent stay at the Awatea Country B&B. Our host Kevin was friendly, helpful and professional. The B&B is spacious and Quite nice - just a few minute drive from town. Breakfast was tasty, our room with bath was comfy, and getting to help feed the animals was fun! We highly recommend Awatea Country B&B.

Relaxing enjoyable experience with farm animals
We stayed for a night with our young baby and were impressed with the hospitality and cleanliness. Attention to detail in the room was great as was the wonderful breakfast. Will stay again if we are in the area!

Great B&B
We really enjoyed our stay at this location. Kevin the owner was an ex policeman and was an interesting chap to talk to about the earthquake life and everything. He cooked us a great breakfast each morning and was very helpful. We enjoyed feeding his pigs chickens and alpacas with him. Was a very comfortable house and has a lovely garden with stunning views of the mountains.

Alison was a superb hostess, meeting , greeting and provided a very pleasant atmosphere! Quiet location , but still near to Kaikoura. Availability of drinks , coffee , tea , water at all times. Very clean and with comfortable beds .Feeling of space.. and the 2 very friendly dogs! Highly recommended!

Pros: the owner, Allison (warm, welcoming, helping), comfort, meticulously clean. Cons: hard to think of any. Perhaps having coffee in a large pot rather than a single brewer would be helpful. Not a big deal!

Very. Nice indeed and perfect spot for a pleasant stay to break a long trip. Close to the township of Kaikoura with many interesting shops and attractions. Quiet and peaceful
This was a lovely B & B located on a farm a few kilometers from a seaside town. The host was friendly and welcoming . She recommended a fabulous restaurant for our dinner. We watched baby ducklings on the property and were awakened in to morning by the crowing of a rooster, It was charming.

Great place to stay!
My husband and I only got to spend one night here, but it was really great. Check in was easy, the room was perfectly clean and super comfortable, and breakfast was also really good. We would highly recommend staying here.

Quiet country stay close to beach & town
This is a lovely B&B on a small farm at the foot of the stunning mountains. On arrival you are greeted by the host as well as her friendly dogs; you can wander around to see the chickens, ducks, horses, pigs & llamas or be entertained by the Border Collie entertaining himself by rounding up the chickens & ducks. As part of the continental breakfast you enjoy a boiled egg laid by those chickens! It is only a 5 minute drive into town where you can leave on a whale watch tour, & in another 5 minutes you are at the nearby seal colony.
