"I keep using Holiday Inn Express because I have never been disappointed with the continental breakfasts and love how bright and clean everything is."

"There is everything you need to comfortably stay.You have clean rooms, comfortable beds,quiet area,a/c, tv,refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, clean bathroom with shower, continental breakfast every morning and reasonable prices. We were looking for nice place to sleep mostly after whole days of exploring Maine and that place matched our expectations. Thank you for hosting us !"

"The air conditioning unit has a stale smell. thankfully we went on nights that were cool so we switched off the air-conditioning and kept the windows open. I would never be able to stay in this room if I had to keep the heat or the AC on because of the smell that it emanates. I mentioned to the hotel staff and they’re supposed to call me back, but no one has Also, the room look much better in the pictures than they actually are"

"The pool is not heated and also not at our hotel location. There are two separate hotels. The one we were seated at was a small drive down the road. The front desk was at a separate location. No Continental Breakfast. The walls are paper thin and the floors leaves no secrets what what happens above you. Room was cleaned, AC worked, beds were good."

"The revamp is nice but more modern than I expected. Not the New England vibe the property had before. But it needed updating so I guess modern is what spark does!"

"We appreciated the clean rooms and facility. The grounds were groomed very well with yard games available. The Inn was located conveniently to downtown Freeport. It was very charming and picturesque. The only negative downside to our stay was the breakfast. The advertising led us to believe the breakfast was free. It was NOT, unless you just wanted a very limited continental breakfast. (And if you are gluten free, good luck, and bring your own pasties.) Anything hot or cooked was on a menu...

"It was quiet there so we were able to have some peaceful rest. The room smelled like stale cigarettes and there were holes around the edge of the carpet against the wall. The room smelled could use an update."

"The Sheets were terrible. All pilled. I asked for other ones, they showed up to my room with another set that were even worse. I brought them to the front desk in the morning and they agreed that they were unacceptable. I asked to speak to the manager- they said she wasn't in and I should call later- several calls later and finally after 3 weeks she finally got back to me with an email saying she was sorry I wasn't happy with the sheets! so much for customer service!"
