"The grounds are beautiful and the facility was clean and well-kept. Staff members were pleasant. We would actually consider staying there in a different room but the white cabin with the thatched roof was awkward and uncomfortable to the point that we left after one night even though we knew we wouldn't get a refund. You can tell from the photos that some of the description is inaccurate (It's just one bedroom and doesn't have a private pool though there is one pool for all guests to share.) but...

"The house was unexpectedly nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the cool (unheated) but not cold, jacuzzi pool after a long hot day in Manuel Antonio park. This is a nice place, but they really, really, need to let folks know that this place is very remote and the road is very bad. Great if you want to bring everything and just stay there, but it is a 45 minute drive on bad, unlit roads to come or go from the lodge. "Rooms were clean and well-equipped. Staff was very friendly. Very convenient to beach and the hotel even has a handy tide chart posted daily so you know when you can walk to the whale tail. Nice balconies on second-level rooms
The property is easy to miss because there are no signs on the street for it. Google Maps showed us where it was but we didn't believe it at first since there were no signs. But once we found it, someone was right there the open the gate for us and let us check in several...
