"BREAKFAST WAS GREAT. "

"It is an all-inclusive that charges for most of the amenities, food, and drinks!!! The rooms are in poor condition, the AC makes terrible noises, the bathroom didn´t drain, the night show was bad, and I couldn't sleep because of the noise in the room. The food is bad."

"Rooms are up to date but the property is in the middle of renovation. So, a lot of construction going on around you and the floors and balcony were dirty with construction debris. When it rained, our bathroom was flooded with water coming through the light fixtures. We called the front desk, and they reattached the light fixture but never stopped the leak. We had two more days to go on our trip so we let it slide. We put a trash can in the bathroom and kept going. The staff is really not that talkative and friendly. They don’t explain much to you about what all the property offers or where anything is."

"Property was nice. When you arrive for Bourganville, they drop you off at the adjacent Grand Romana and you shuttle or walk to this resort. They are part of the same with the Bourganville being the adults only. La Grand seemed like it had more amenities, was larger, so if you don’t have to be adults only, you may want to consider that one. The food was good but we could not get reservations for several of the restaurants or they were very late ones. In retrospect, Be best to make reservations in advance on-line before you even get there. Pools were good with poolside service and swim up bars. Quiet pool and activity pool. Activity pool area had its own stand alone bar too. Beach was nice area but the water is not very conducive to swimming due to rocky bottom. So pack water shoes if you plan to get in. Our room was nice and quiet but we could not check in for 2 hours later as they had to set the room for 2 beds which were requested in advance. Staff at that moment were not very helpful. They could have at least had someone orient us to the grounds, activities, etc while we were killing time. We basically had to figure everything out ourselves such as the fact that there is a kiosk in the lobby that you can use to see what’s going on each day and attempt to make reservations. The crowd was a mixed bag of mostly Americans and Europeans who were mostly distant but friendly enough. The staff was mostly friendly but did not speak much English. "

"I recently stayed at an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic, and overall, it was a fantastic experience that blended relaxation, beautiful scenery, and attentive service. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and refreshing drinks, which immediately set the tone for the trip. The resort grounds were stunning—lush tropical landscaping, pristine beaches with soft white sand, and crystal-clear water that looked like it belonged on a postcard. There were plenty of lounge chairs and shaded areas, so it never felt overcrowded or stressful to find a place to relax. The accommodations were clean, spacious, and well-maintained. While the decor wasn’t ultra-modern, it had a charming, tropical feel. Housekeeping was consistent and did a great job keeping everything tidy throughout our stay. One of the highlights was definitely the food. With multiple restaurants to choose from, there was a wide variety of options ranging from local Dominican cuisine to international dishes. The buffet was solid, but the à la carte restaurants really stood out—especially the seafood and steak options. Drinks were plentiful, and the bartenders were friendly and generous. The staff truly made the experience memorable. Everyone—from the front desk to the entertainment team—was welcoming, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Their energy added a lot to the overall atmosphere of the resort. "

"This was an excellent resort. The property had everything for everybody. The pools were beautiful with a great shallow kiddie pool with lots of attractions. Lots of restaurants with varied cuisine. Only drawback it was hard to get reservations. The staff were all very customer focused and helpful. We had a medical issue and there was a full time doctor. I would highly recommend it."
