I would highly recommend staying at El Almendron Rosado. Laritza is a phenomenal hostess that makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive. The rooms are very clean, breakfast is delicious and the area is both safe and quiet. Laritza will be able to provide the names of local restaurants where the food is delicious. She helped my daughter and I make all of our taxi reservations throughout Havana, Trinidad and Veradero...I am so thankful for her tireless efforts to make our vacation plans run so smoothly.

Our hosts, Laritza and her son Jorge could not have been more kind, helpful and informative. The location was quiet and charming. Much of Havana is very run down, but this property was very well kept. But it was Laritza and Jorge's hospitality that really made our visit so special for my wife and me.

El Almendron Rosado está excelentemente ubicado en Vedado. A pocas cuadras de donde se come muy rico y barato. Es un punto central para llegar a todos lados si quieres estar en una zona local, tranquila y segura. Los anfitriones son los mejores! Te ayudan con recomendaciones, tips y siempre están disponibles para resolver tus dudas y para ayudarte. Además que son muy familiares lo que hace que la experiencia sea mucho más agradable. El desayuno es increíble, café, jugo de fruta recién hecho, pan, huevos y hasta crepe de banano con miel. Sin lugar a dudas si vas a La Habana, el Almendron Rosado es el lugar ideal para pasar tus días.

Lovely homestay
Warm & kind Laritza greeted us & made us feel at home. She arranged our shared taxi ride to Vinales which we had requested the night before leaving Havana. What a delicious & plentiful breakfast she prepared! Laritza gave us suggestions on where to visit in the area with a map to find our way around. This home in the residential Vedado area has a staircase to the floor above. We look forward to returning to El Amendron Rosado.

Best of Everything
This place was so nice and our host was amazing. They were kind and understanding. Upon arriving, they gave us a map of places of interest in the neighborhood and how the layout of the neighborhood. There was a front gate with a lock that kept everything safe and secure. We ordered breakfast from our host every day and it was always a treat. Fresh fruits were amazing. All of the food was so fresh. We ate on a patio every morning. The host was available to answer any questions. The location was ideal for what we were wanting. Close to some good walks and the Malecón. Easy to get a car and go to other parts of the city. Our room included a king bed and a twin bed, two rocking chairs, a small bench, bathroom with sink just outside the bathroom. The shower was like a time machine and had multiple types of jets from regular shower to wall jets. There was a safe in the room for our valuables. The balcony in our room looked over the street. The stained glass was nice and the ability to have plenty of light and privacy in the room was perfect. Small details like bath robes and bedside lamps were wonderful. Has both 110V and 220V outlets. I highly recommend staying here!

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen und die Gastgeberin ist super lieb und aufmerksam. Nach zwei Tagen haben wir frische Bettwäsche bekommen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein paar Meter (wenn man aus der Unterkunft rauskommt rechts) ist ein kleiner Verkaufsstand mit Wasser, Bier etc. Nachdem es sonst sehr schwierig ist an Wasser zu kommen, waren wir darüber sehr Happy. :-)

Nice, but I got ripped off
This is a nice property in Vedado. Far enough from the Old Town that it’s not so busy but there are nice places to visit nearby. The room was nice. The Airbnb offered to exchange my Canadian dollars. After I gave them $ and they brought it back, I realized that they were given a VERY poor rate (CAD$1 = 50 pesos, when the market rate = 120 pesos). It made me sad that they (and I!) were ripped off. Don’t change money here. Change it on the street, or at a bank/Cadeca if you have to, so as not to be ripped off.

You made two reservations and you made two reviews.You have written in both titles that you have been deceived. In the review you have clarified that the people in the house have also been deceived and that they were not responsible for the scam. However, from the title a reader understands that you have been defrauded by someone in the house .It seems to me very incorrect to make titles similar to it also seems incorrect to me to make two reviews even if you have been scammed, not by us!, only once.El Almendron Rosado does not deserve this superficiality and meanness.

Nice place. Don’t get scammed on exchange rates.

O atendimento foi incrível. Muito cuidado com os hóspedes, inclusive propondo programas e ajudando com dicas para o deslocamento pela cidade. Gostaria de destacar a atuação da equipe, principalmente da profissional Larissa, que é um doce de pessoa!
