"KEX is a very clean, no frills hotel/hostel in Portland with a fantastic lobby and bar. The food was inventive, fresh and tasty. Good cocktails, and even better service....just enough attention to get what I wanted and plenty of space to just enjoy the scene. "

"The hotel staff were all wonderful and accommodating. Everyone was friendly and kind and made our stay infinitely better. I'd definitely reccomend to others. The surrounding area wasn't the best, as my brother and I noticed people yelling/doing drugs in the park across the street, but they mostly kept to themselves and posed no threat or nuisance to us. All in all, I'd say it's one of the better Portland hotels I'd stayed in"

"We’ve stayed at this hotel before, and we always have a good visit. The hallways may be old but the rooms are very clean and nice. It’s easy walking access to a lot around Portland, we never felt unsafe walking about the area. Big shout out to Kennedy at the front desk - he was wonderful! "
