"Fantastic stay for a relaxed holliday with daily excursions arround Capetown. We appreciated, the very nice hospitallity, breakfasts and also the house incl. areas for reading, sun tanning at the pool. High comfort beds! Easy to access by car incl. parking. "

"I was never able to enter. The phone number they gave me never answered so was left at night trying to find another place to stay the night. It’s unacceptable that they won’t answer the phone they required you to call. "

"Whilst these rooms are effectively student accommodation and (in my case at least) the bathroom is shared by two rooms, they are excellently appointed and comfortable. They have good internet, parking, a great buffet breakfast, charming grounds, perfect for a day or two. Really helpful staff and all very clean and modern - they even have kitchen facilities. "

"I stayed at Little Scotia for two weeks. It is in a great location with quick access to the CBD, V&A, and all the nature spots like Table Mountain and the botanical gardens. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast every morning was fantastic. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Cape Town."

"Loved our room and the entire hotel. I believe there were only 2 other guest rooms occupied when we were there in late March 2026. Breakfast was delightful and Rizea was particularly nice to pack us a to go breakfast when we needed to leave early in the morning on our first day there. Loved the glassed enclosure and the beautiful indoor gardens. We’d definitely stay there again! "

"This is a backpacker place not a hotel/motel. They don’t provide things where a normal hotel provides like towels, shampoos, conditioners, bath soap, etc. It’s a shared kitchen so you need to bring or cook your own food. Only cookware is provided. You pretty much have to bring your own things overall. Angeline, the manager was pretty nice, helpful and accommodating. Free wi-fi and connection was good. I had to ask the manager for help me because in the beginning I had trouble connecting. If I...

"If you are looking for a nice warm and quiet stay in Newlands outside of the craziness of downtown. This is the place to be, lovely couple that own the Newlands Guesthouse with fantastic staff. If only they had control of the weather. I went it the autumn and lots of rain."
