"Whilst these rooms are effectively student accommodation and (in my case at least) the bathroom is shared by two rooms, they are excellently appointed and comfortable. They have good internet, parking, a great buffet breakfast, charming grounds, perfect for a day or two. Really helpful staff and all very clean and modern - they even have kitchen facilities. "

"I stayed at Little Scotia for two weeks. It is in a great location with quick access to the CBD, V&A, and all the nature spots like Table Mountain and the botanical gardens. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast every morning was fantastic. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Cape Town."

"This is a backpacker place not a hotel/motel. They don’t provide things where a normal hotel provides like towels, shampoos, conditioners, bath soap, etc. It’s a shared kitchen so you need to bring or cook your own food. Only cookware is provided. You pretty much have to bring your own things overall. Angeline, the manager was pretty nice, helpful and accommodating. Free wi-fi and connection was good. "If you are looking for a nice warm and quiet stay in Newlands outside of the craziness of downtown. This is the place to be, lovely couple that own the Newlands Guesthouse with fantastic staff. If only they had control of the weather. I went it the autumn and lots of rain."
