The entire 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite was dated but we loved it! The rooms were clean, kitchen was clean and bathrooms were clean. There were a few random treasures left from previous people’s stays. The pool was great and a fantastic treat in the cold! The location was away from the Main Street of Helen but it was also an easy walk to get to all the activities. The drive up and down the resort was roughly 16 to 18 degree grade. Checkout was easy and there were some easy directions that needed to be followed but for the price and location, nothing but love for this place!

We loved everything about this location. It could use a larger TV downstairs, hotels don't have 19" tv anymore. There is a steep hill to walk down to take the path to downtown, not advisable for seniors. But you can park at the bottom by the path of you don't want to walk up the very steep hill. We would definitely stay here again. It had everything for a perfect weekend away

I know people say it's dated that might be true but not to the point it deserves a bad rating. Our stay was amazing very clean and spacious and less then 10 min walk to main street. We are already planning our next stay!

I was surprised at the lack of walk ability in the resort itself. You can't really walk from your accomodations to the pool or river area. It's a steep drive to park. There was a small problem with our unit upon check in, but the staff quickly fixed the error and were very nice.

My family really liked the convenience of this resort. We were very appreciative of the staff allowing an earlier check-in for our visit, as bad weather was approaching. The unit was nice and clean, maybe just a little outdated. The water pressure in the unit was very weak, but other than that everything was good.

Pretty great place for the money. Got a good view and plenty of family space. I loved the woods and nature right at the back of our property. Was some spiders hanging around but lady at the front desk was very very clear concise and gave good instructions. Also have good recommendations!! Thanks guys

Pool & gym needs upgraded. Loved the location. First room shown was basement level with narrow walkway with ivy to side. Second was much much better! Floor level. Good value for money if amenities looked like pictures.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we visit the area. It was a great value for what we paid. We had a bedroom, a loft bedroom, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room for the same price I've paid for a regular hotel room. The key is to go into it with your eyes open. The property is older and it shows. There were dings in the furniture and the decor was outdated. But it was clean (the baseboards and ceiling fan could have used a wipe down but the everyday stuff was clean). If you aren't worried about new and shiny then you can't beat this place for value and convenience (5 minute walk to town from a pathway that saves money in in town parking!)

So much potential for 5 star status. Needs renovations and some more upkeep. Rugs can be changed completely. But it is in a good location, quiet and clean restrooms. Lots is space for a family. Wish more of the amenities were available. We checked in the middle of the night and I called the manager. She answered and stayed with us on the phone until we arrived. We appreciated that.

Hideaway

The place is hidden away from the main stretch, yet within walking distance of downtown Helen. We would park by the clubhouse and just walk the trail to Main St. The property is dated, but provides plenty of amenities. You get to see some wildlife. The pool and hot tub are great, excellent for cooling off after a hot day doing touristy stuff. The clubhouse has a pool table and a couple tables for games. The property has several grills and picnic tables. Our room had a hair dryer, washer&dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. Rosie at the frontdesk was very helpful and so pleasant! We are looking forward to return.

Overall the trip was great but the property condition needs improvement. The dishes in the cabinets had food still on them. That wasn't a huge deal because I just washed them again. The master bathroom toilet seat was broken and I almost fell off the commode several times. The boards leading to the office are super slippery. The location of the property is ideal, with a very short walk to all the shops and food. The pool was good.

Perfect location

The location is perfect to walk into the city, or if you want a quiet place in a wooded area. Our place was clean, though was so dated it still had a broken/ dirty look to it. The pool, waterside, club house and fishing area were all closed while we were there. The staff was very helpful in answering questions we had when we arrived. We did arrive on a weekend so the main staff wasn't there, but housekeeping was. If your vehicle doesn't do hills well, or if you struggle backing up/ drop off edges this is not the place for you. We would stay here again for the price and location, but it is not a place for everyone.
