"Would definitely stay here again. We had an interior king room. It was clean and spacious. The property was clean and the pool was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent and easy to get to, just off of I-40. Check-in went smoothly, though I had to wait a few minutes for someone to come to the desk. Vanessa was great and has a great personality!
I wish housekeeping would check the alarm clocks as part of their service. I forgot to do so and the thing went off at 5:40 AM. It did not sound like a clock, it sounded like an emergency alert tone of some type and when it awakened us, we were quite scared as we tried to figure out what was going on and what device was issuing this sound.
Also, there was only decaf (no regular) coffee in the room with the pot. This is not good! We inquired and were told that they would be taking the pots out of the rooms and so they are not restocking as they run out of coffee. The hotel coffee was horrible so we got our own pot out of the car and made our own coffee inthe room! Thank goodness we had it with us.
There is a Carrabba's eatery right next store to the hotel which is great. We didn't eat there but it is convenient to have that walkable option after driving all day.
The shower and bed were wonderful, which is always important when on the road.
I hope to be back in Hickory again and I will definitely stay here again when I return!"
